The boxed versions you are referring to are likely collector's editions of the game. The standard edition looks like thisWasn't sure where to ask this but I was wondering if the platform you purchased the game for is printed on the box itself or if it was a sleeve. I mainly ask this due to the recent pictures showing up from the devs themselves or people who got their version early. Thanks.
As far as I've seen, the platform identification is printed on the disks' case.Sorry if I wasn't clear. I meant is the platform printed on the collectors edition box itself. For example if you look at the Witcher twitter for the Xbox CEs + banana the platform is printed at the top. I was wondering if it was printed on the box itself or a sleeve.
That seems to answer your own question. I think it's safe to assume the platform's name will be printed on the box, and the case. This is the picture Im referring to https://instagram.com/p/2idBAGi7wP/
I really cannot answer this one. However, if it is anything like the art-book from The Witcher 2, I assume there will be some 'spoilers'. It may be a good idea to wait until after we've completed the game, before looking at the art. Will the art book that comes with the collectors edition contain huge spoilers? The art book that came with Mass Effect 2 for example revealed the final boss.
Yeah I thought it was a bit of a long shot getting an answer to that one. I'll keep it sealed until I've finished it just in case, which could take months. Cheers anyway.I really cannot answer this one. However, if it is anything like the art-book from The Witcher 2, I assume there will be some 'spoilers'. I remember one of the REDs said that turning off subtitles WILL also turn off the subtitles for Elder Speech. I think it was in the thread discussing the 15 minute gameplay footage from January. It just dawned on me that in The Witcher 2 if you play without subtitles even Elder Speech and Nilfgaardian subs are removed which is incredibly frustrating and completely illogical, i sincerely hope this is not the case in The Witcher 3.
Does anyone have any information on this?
As far as I know, if you pre-purchase on Steam, you only receive the extras offered by Steam. I've seen nothing about a GOG.com access for Steam purchasers. PC Retail will contain a GOG.com code for access to a digital backup of the game, DLCs, and extras. Information about the Steam content may be found here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/292030Those who bought on steam will be able to activate the game on his GOG account as well as the first ones?
Actually i'm only interested on the extras, so if they'll also come with steam download i really don't mind.
Yes there will be an opportunity to upload choices towards the end of the prologue through a conversation with an NPC for console players. I would suggest watching one of the movie versions of the Witcher 2 and seeing what you would have done. There are some that are not too long - a couple of hours or so. Otherwise just go with your gut and enjoy the consequences.I'm new to The Witcher and Wild Hunt will be my first stab at the series, I've never been more excited about a game in my life! I'm not sure if anyone will be able to answer this accurately but my question is about being able to "upload" your choices from the previous game. I know that you can and if you're playing on a console that doesn't let you just import a save, like I am, on a PS4, then you get to selected what choices you made in the previous games and that will affect the starting world state. Now, I've never played the other games, so my question is: should I select the choices I would've made had I actually played the other games or just go with the standard world state CDPR created? Advice would be appreciated, I've been pondering this for a while!
Please see Rivenll's answer to your question.Hi,
I have a small question: I preordered a physical copy of the game. But I want the digitall artbook of the GOG version. If I register my retail copy, would I get these GOG preorder-bonuses?
If you've purchased the physical PC version of the game, you can use your GOG.com code to access extra content, like the digital copy of the art-book. It is important to emphasise, though, that this is only true from PC physical retail.Hi,

Q: What is the GOG.com game code found in the box used for?
The game code grants you access to a digital backup copy of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on GOG.com. You will also receive full software support, i.e. future updates, as well as all the additional content like the 16 Free DLCs, the FLAC & MP3 soundtrack, comics, wallpapers, art book, all voice over packs and more.
