Unsheathing sword from the back - it's impossible.

Yes, I'm nitpicking here, but I want to know how they'll depict Geralt drawing a 3.5 foot sword from a sheath that rests on his back. It seems to me to be a physical impossibility, unless his arms were extremely long. A short sword maybe, but not the one Geralt is wielding. It's going to take a little sleight of hand animating this, methinks.

It's explained in the books. Geralt had his swords on custom made harness. He didn't draw his sword, he swinged his body and the sword jumped from the scabbard. Just watch how it looks in The Witcher 1 - it's not perfectly shown but the sword jumps there.

But he's not doing that in the clips of TW2 I've seen. He's just pulling it out. I'm just curious how they will make the action look plausible. Of course, I applaud them for including scabbards in the first place. :)

Yes, it seems that the animation was better in TW1. It doesn't look right in TW2 but at least you can see the special harness with scabbards on straps. Anyway, it is logically explained in the books to the point that no one questions it. In game it's "just" animation's fault.

I agree. Show the sword leaping from the scabbard like in TW1.

Or he could have the top part of the scabbard cut away so that he needn't unsheath it fully.
