Update 2.2 is live!

Nice patch!

Still was hoping for more endgame content, like random bounties and such (kinda NCPD scanner). The car thefts are not bad but it gets repetitive. Some gunnin random events here and there would be appreciated. (Yeah, there are the air drops on Dog Town, but what about having something to do on the rest of Night City?)

Very nice, but 1 thing I miss a lot is blocking in melee with a knife. Since you can throw knives from the start, the ability has completely disappeared, but the animations should still be in the game. How about rebinding it to reload or something?

Also, there isn't a Tech assault rifle in the game, it's the only combination of types of weapons that doesn't exist, and there already was a cool copperhead variant in concept art that went unused.

My GoG version of the game is patched to 2.2. When I try to create a new character I can't find any of the new stuff. No new eye colors, no new tattoos. Why doesn't my game recognize the patch?
Edit: I did a verify the integrity of the game files and it did download 51mb of something, but it didn't help. Still no new eye colors etc.
All mods that I use have been updated CET 1.34, RED4ext 1.26.0, Codeware 1.13.0, ArchiveXL 1.18.0, Virtual Atelier 1.2.7. Some may linger to be updated yet but I just found it strange some mod could totally eliminate every new feature.

Did you try validating your files?

The obvious answer is that the new files just weren't applied correctly or something is conflicting with them. If you use/used mods, that could be the source of a conflict. If you never used mods, verifying the integrity of your files should re-acquire whatever files are incorrect. Worst case scenario, do a clean install.

Of course, if you use mods, a clean install will remove all your mods and you will have to reinstall those.

Any mod that changes the body or appearance menu of the game like VTK based mods and EVB mods. Just temporarily remove them from the archive/mod folder and it should work.

Been trying to stay up to date with all the mods and fixes that are affected by this.

The only core main one that isn't updated yet is TweakXL and we should all be ready to go as long as they update the character creator related mods.

I made a thread to have all these things in one place for people that are finding issues or holding out on the update.

Update 2.2 and modding impact

Well, Y'all remember when the Kaukuz Heavy truck was ORIGINALLY BUYABLE AND INCLUDED IN YOUR "LIVERY" ,back in 2020, RIGHT? and then the Next-Gen Update totally erased it and I would like to see this restored and should be included on the AUTOTRADER WEBSITE OR a quest. Another thing i would like to see added is the Behemoth can be acquired and the Basilisk can be used driven again instead of being permanently stored at the Nomad camp.

Another Thing is The HMG was able to be kept and stowed in the inventory and permantly kept back when the game first came out back in 2020 and also would like to see the scripting for this restored if it is not too much trouble ,because sometimes all it takes is a REALLY BIG GUN TO GET YOU OUT OF a tits-up situation

I'm so sad it doesn't seem to work on Xbox, I had great screenshots to display

That's a shame, hopefully they fix it soon. From your last pic, on the tab you've selected (the one that looks like a watch), it shows all photos I've already taken previously (I've just left them in the default folder on Win10). Maybe for XBox, CDPR have it pointing at the wrong folder by mistake?
Post automatically merged:

On a side note, I just realised I have to head-canon that all the pics featuring Johnny must be photoshops by V or something

Yeah, I was pretty excited to display Judy in the apartment. But it won't happen (yet)
Beside on Xbox on the internal storage, there is a (very) limited dedicated space for screenshots (not sure how much) but at some point, new screenshots (no matter the game) will overwritte old ones, cyberpunk's included...
I'll try on an external SSD in case, with a bit of luck it will work and my "nice" screenshots won't be overwritten :)

Or it's all a grand conspiracy and Johnny is actually there and Johnny is the actual corpo overlord behind this terrible world.

He's just messing with V's head because V's potential for greatness scares him so he developed this grand strategy to make V think they're going to die so that V just gives up or commits suicide and thus never threatens the establishment. Makes you think it's all in your head BUT IT'S ALL REAL MAN.

I just tried and yes, it doesn't work or at least the game doesn't recognize the screenshots. I can't try on an external SSD yet while my two SSDs contain lot of games and so can't be used for captures (I will check if I have a USB key just to see if it's the same or not^^).

Okay, at least I know it's not just me. I've cleared the cache and persistent storage, hard reset, uninstalled and re-installed the game but there is no change.

Thank you for checking back with me. It does ease my mind a bit, misery loves company and all that, lol!

The new Photo Mode is cool but they spawn NPCs behind the camera and so out of position that by the time you move them in, you can't fine tune the position to stage the scene like you want to. They should spawn near V. Unless I'm missing them, no Rita Wheeler or Misty?!?!?!? There are three rando girls, but not two major NPCs? While the additional lights (which Hellblade II had) are cool, the settings are unclear and the way they can block your view unless you turn off the UI can be a hassle.

I think we can all appreciate that they're still updating the game.

However, most of these cosmetic updates are so irrelevant. I cannot for the life of me understand why in a Cyberpunk game we cannot see the changes to the body when upgrading legs, eyes, chest etc. Why do we get more eye colors and tattoos, instead of something that would make the game more immersive?

The only thing that changes after an upgrade is your hands, and it looks awesome. This should obviously be the case for every single part of your body that is upgraded. It's not very believable that you can fight a Cybermonster like Adam Smasher when you have the body of an average joe. It breaks immersion.

First of all, thanks to the team for delivering more for a spectacular game.

Any chance a fix was included for the multi-GPU flatline issue?
