Update 2.2 is live!

+
Thank you for giving us another update, CDProjekt. I would like to ask that, if the game were to receive another update down the line, that the default Kolac precision rifle weapon and its color variants be able to drop in the world properly or give it a crafting recipe. Its been since update 1.6 that this gun just doesn't drop and it'd be real nice to collect.
EDIT: As a bonus the crossover weapons would be nice as well for all players now that the game is basically over such as the Twitch exclusive Yasha smart sniper, the Scorch Pistol and Gwynbleidd from GOG account linking. It'd be nice to have these on console.

Fixes/Changes to consider for a potential next update:

THE SERIOUS

1.
Fixing the Highlight Behind Cover effect to activate properly and Persist properly (currently may not activate on some Enemies/Cameras/Explosives even when in at appropriate Distance or through certain pieces of Cover and may randomly deactivate at inappropriate Times/Distances).
[It's an awesome effect but not totally intact].

2.
Fixing Stalker optic functionality with the Tech Weapons Breakthrough sniper rifle and DR-12 Quasar revolver and all of it's Variants, additionally fixing the Field of Vision activation restriction which often does not highlight enemies within the specified percentage of the player's Field of Vision. Also a buff to its Highlight Enemies Behind Cover effect such that when fully upgraded it activates within at least 30% of a player's Field of Vision [Although a higher percentage would be amazing] and Penetrates 55 or 60 meters deep
[To make it more appealing when weighed against currently superior highlight enemies effects that utilize the player's full Field of Vision].

3.
Adding at least one Tech Weapon each for the LMG and Assault Rifle weapon classes and at least one Smart Weapon each for the LMG, Revolver and Precision Rifle weapon classes.
[More weapon variety is always great].

4.
Changing the Microgenerator hand cyberware to be Tech Attuned, either increasing the damage of Tech Weapons by 0.1% per Technical Ability Attribute Point or Increasing the charge speed of Tech Weapons during Slowed Time by some percentage per Technical Ability Attribute Point. Alternatively adding an effect on top of it's standard Electroshock Effect that allows Tech Weapons to charge either at normal speed or a certain percentage faster during Slowed Time.
[Will help Tech Weapon builds to be more responsive when using this Cyberware option alongside cyberware that Slows Time and will also give Tech Weapons a defining hand cyberware to match with Power and Smart Weapons].

5.
Allowing Gris-Gris to be used with either it's standard effect of randomly uploading a Quickhack when the RNG decides Gris-Gris's effect will activate or allowing Gris-Gris to be slotted with a Stealth Quickhack or Control Quickhack to always use that Quickhack when the RNG decides Gris-Gris's effect will activate, and possibly a buff/nerf to the percent chance to active Gris-Gris's effect when slotting weak/strong Quickhacks respectively (Ex. The Ping Quickhack has a higher chance to active while the Cripple Movement Quickhack has a lower chance to activate).
[Allows for more player choice in terms of tradeoffs when using this Weapon and more ways to gamble with your bullets].

6. Bring back the Fingers ripperdoc exclusive Reinforced Ankles which allowed for Charging a Jump and Hovering in the air upon a precisely timed 2X Jump imput, change the Hover activation to be a single Jump input and allow it to be activated at any point during your fall, also allow the Hover to be used alongside the Air Kerenzikov Perk for perfect stillness in the air.
[Allows players to have more freedom in using this Cyberware and to become even more efficient with the Air Kerenzikov Perk if they choose to sacrifice the community preferred Fortified Tendons or other leg cyberware options].

THE GOOFY

1.
Allow players to Gamble their Eddies at select locations such as; Pachinko Parlor, a Casino, and Bars with unique Gambling Games at each location possibly sharing some form of Poker between bars and a Casino. Perhaps even an apartment decoration could be available for winning a high stakes Poker game against a pro player at the Casino, or beating a string of pro players similar to the Beat on the Brat quest.
[It would fit with the setting and give players more activities to do throughout night city, would also be very funny to see clips of people betting all their eddies and either losing them or winning big].

2.
Allow players to stack the Alcohol effect up to 15 or 20 times which results in them puking, losing all effects from other food/drink items and transforming the Alcohol effect into a more potent and longer lasting version, which can also be Stacked a few times by Stacking the standard Alcohol effect the requisite amount of times again.
[Just because I think it would be a funny Easter egg for people dedicated enough to use that many Alcohol items back to back].

3.
Buff the effects on the Premium Hawtdawg sold by Bill Mitchell to be twice as strong as standard Food items. Alternatively make it a Tier 4 Food item and give it a unique effect.
[It's stated to be real meat and this change could signify the difference between real meat and SCOP].

4. Allow Second Heart cyberware to activate when falling from extreme heights.
[It would be hilarious for V to jump off a skyscraper scaring the hell out of the people on the street below and then just walking it off].

5.
Buff Kerenzikov Boost System cyberware to Slow Time by 20% relative to your enemies.
[I just wish it was an even number lol].

Big bummer no FSR 3.1...
What you expect i dit nothing at this point after patch 2.1 we all know its the end for us and update 2.2 just seal this cuz FSR 2.1 still looks a bit better than FSR 3.0 in game. Yes now i can run RT but when game go into borderless windowed mode its looks terrible and i have 1440p monitor and playing game in 1440p ultra and usually using XESS 1.3 cuz its looks good but not long ago i got mod for FSR 3.1 and all was good i could play even with RT, it was good and game looks great but now my mod is broken yet again and game looks worse than before. Like i dont know if they really dont care about us no more but we also pay the full price for game damn i even pre ordered game day one when it was on steam yet idk this just feels not right . After all this is nvidia game and they dont want them iprove FSR in this game we all know that but at least CDPR should give us some kind of statement like yeah we dont do it we dont have time for or we cant do it and done nobody would still talking about it, but nope silent as always. I sure love witcher series and cyberpunk a lot but im gonna think twice before even think of buying their products again,.

Update 2.2 for Cyberpunk 2077 is being rolled out on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S!

With this patch you’ll be able to express yourself like never before — it includes over 100 new customization options for V, adds CrystalCoat™ compatibility for select vehicle brands, introduces a brand-new TWINTONE™ color scheme feature for CrystalCoat™-compatible vehicles, and more! Photo Mode also received a major overhaul with new camera options, aspect ratios, light sources and posable NPCs, just to name a few things!

Read about all changes in the patch notes below.

New Features
  • Rayfield's CrystalCoat™ technology, initially designed for Rayfield vehicles only, has now been adopted by other car manufacturers. You can now change the paint jobs on Herrera, Mizutani, Quadra and Villefort vehicles. Pro tip: Use CrystalCoat™ to fool the cops and lower your NCPD wanted level!
  • Kiroshi presents TWINTONE™! As CrystalCoat™ continues to in gain popularity, TWINTONE™ takes your paint jobs to the next level. Simply scan a car with your Kiroshi optics, switch to the TWINTONE™ tab, then save the vehicle's color scheme for a small fee. You'll then be able to select the scheme in the TWINTONE™ database under the CrystalCoat™ menu. There, you'll also find generic color schemes for all CrystalCoat™-compatible vehicles as well as unique color schemes exclusive to the vehicle model from which they were copied. Please note that color scheme cloning is not authorized on vehicles that are linked to quests, belong to the NCPD or that are incompatible with CrystalCoat™ tech.

  • All vehicles compatible with CrystalCoat™ and TWINTONE™ are marked with a spray can icon on Autofixer.
The ten most requested vehicles from the streets of Night City are now available for purchase on Autofixer:
  • Mizutani Shion MZ1
  • Mizutani Shion Targa MZT
  • Thorton Galena GA32t
  • Thorton Colby CST40
  • Archer Quartz EC-L r275
  • Quadra Type del 66 640 TS
  • Quadra Type del 66 680 TS
  • Mahir Supron FS3-T
  • Villefort Deleon V410-S Cupé (Phantom Liberty only)
  • Mizutani Hozuki MH2 (Phantom Liberty only)
  • Following Act 1, Johnny will now sometimes appear in the passenger seat while V is driving to comment on and react to what's happening.

We've overhauled Photo Mode and added multiple community-requested features:
  • Drone Camera is now a free camera instead of an orbital camera centered around V.
  • Increased camera range.
  • Full Collision (ON/OFF) - determines whether the camera respects in-game object collisions.
  • Lock Camera (ON/OFF) - locks the camera to avoid misclicking and ruining the frame.
  • Precise Camera (ON/OFF) - slows the camera down for easier aiming.
  • Aspect Ratio (PC-only. Custom-resolution screenshots are not available on consoles. Console systems can only export images in the standard 16:9 format.)
  • Characters tab: Spawn up to 3 NPCs for your photo, with a list of over 20 characters to choose from. You can adjust their expression, pose and position.
  • Lighting tab: Spawn and adjust light sources.
  • Fixed the Depth of Field ghosting issue.
  • Added an Effect Intensity slider.

  • SmartFrames™ by Kiroshi allows you to display your Photo Mode shots in-game by interacting with the picture frames in V's apartments. Browse your photo collection in the new Gallery menu tab located alongside Journal, Shards and Tarot. The Gallery pulls .png images from the screenshots folder on your PC or from your console gallery. For more details on SmartFrames™ and the Gallery, see this Support article.

Added more character customization options:
  • 32 eye colors
  • 18 lip makeup types
  • 17 nail colors
  • 10 cheek makeup types
  • 16 eye makeup types
  • 4 face scars
  • 5 eyebrow shapes
  • 4 face tattoos
  • 2 body tattoos
  • 8 cosmetic face cyberware options

  • Upgraded the Character Creator randomizer to feature a new Plain-to-Punk slider. Whether you're aiming for an understated, casual look or a bold, edgy style for your V, you can now use the slider to strike the perfect balance.
  • Added more secrets to discover in Night City.
Quests & Open World
  • Rephrased objectives for quests that tell you to wait a specific amount of time to progress. The game is designed in a way that doesn't always allow players to simply skip in-game time to advance the objective, instead requiring them continue playing to trigger the next event.
  • Cyberpsycho Sighting: Where the Bodies Hit the Floor - Fixed an issue where no shard could be found on the cyberpsycho's body, blocking progress.
  • Dream On - The Trauma Team AV on the roof will now be properly hidden in stealth mode.
  • Heroes - Fixed an issue where the quest, despite being completed, could remain marked as incomplete in the Journal with the optional objectives "Talk to Padre" and "Talk to the Valentinos."
Phantom Liberty-Specific
  • Balls to the Wall - Fixed an issue where it was impossible to exit the elevator and talk to Yuri because of an invisible wall.
  • Firestarter - Fixed an issue where fast travel could be blocked if the player saved the game soon after exiting Reed's car.
  • Gig: Waiting for Dodger - After being freed, Bill and Charles will now be more mindful of their driving and avoid running over Dodger’s goons, preventing any unnecessary combat.
  • Hi Ho Silver Lining - The VIP section in the Heavy Hearts club will now be accessible to players who couldn't meet with Mr. Hands due to a keycard being required to use the elevator.
  • I've Seen That Face Before - The garage door preventing players from reaching the meeting point will now be open.
  • Run This Town - The elevator in the Heavy Hearts club is now back in service, so V can finally meet with Mr. Hands.
  • Somewhat Damaged - Fixed an issue where the prompt to unplug the cables from the Neural Network system was missing.
  • The Killing Moon - Fixed the issue of a wall blocking the path when carrying Songbird to the shuttle.
Gameplay
  • Fixed one of the katana finisher animations so that it properly decapitates enemies.
  • Iconic Synapse Burnout and Iconic System Collapse quickhacks will now be properly affected by the RAM cost reduction buff.
  • The icons for Tier 5+ and 5++ Behavioral Imprint-synced Faceplate will now be visible on the HUD while driving.
  • Fixed an issue causing the Synaptic Accelerator to stay active indefinitely if the player is detected while not in combat.
  • The car horn will no longer honk when the player reloads a weapon during vehicle combat while playing with a controller.
  • Fixed an issue where the NCPD could stop functioning properly after V engages in a shootout in Pacifica between the Voodoo Boys and Trauma Team.
Miscellaneous
  • Fixed an issue where TV program sound was muted or too quiet.
  • Fixed an issue where CrystalCoat™did not apply properly after entering a vehicle.
  • Due to popular demand, we've lowered the Trauma Drama high scores.
  • Adjusted V’s mouth movement in various scenes, including the endings.
  • Fixed the issue of voiceover cutoff during the Ebunike station announcement on NCART.
  • Fixed ray-traced shadows for V in Photo Mode.
PC-Specific
  • You will now be able to properly rebind W and S to different actions other than their default settings in the Vehicle category.
  • Optimized threading system to improve performance by up to 33% on Intel Arrow Lake based CPUs.
  • Added more Razer Chroma effects for some sections in Phantom Liberty and romance scenes.
And vignette still and always could be changed…..sad…..pls just delete this senseless effect completely

Will CDPR ever make the MAXTAC gear no longer exclusive to TradFem Vs? I'm not even saying make it so anyone can get it from Judy's quests, I just want an alternative way to get them that isn't locked behind character creation. Kinda weird how men specifically can't wear this specific piece of gear (afaik this is the only example of character creation locked gear in the game)

Hello, thanks for keep updating the game i have a request.

Please polish V's shadow and the feedback when the NPCs drive cars that looks very artificial. thank you so much!

Frankly, i'm not on Cyberpunk 77 anymore, it's still one of my fav game ever. I don't think i'll come back to it soon. But you guys rock. All the work you did to repair the launch and improve upon it, it was impressive.
Frankly, i might have had a lot of fun with the "take your picture and hang them home" bits of this update, had it come sooner:)

Cool on face additions but more should be added to the arms since its 1st player view. Chrome my arms sounds great. Anyway "Love will tear us apart again"

Hmm. I am not sure what to make of Johnny's appearances in the car.

He definitely makes a good assessment on that "Oh sh******t!" part, and probably more. Though, it all also gets repetitive on longer driving.

By the way, I like him sitting there, and would love even more to plant Fingers MD in that seat, but some more quiet would be both good and more realistic. People spend their adrenaline after a bit, and just resign to what's going on.

What is the player who play cyberpunk can’t afford the new console for the update but they still want to experience the updates of 2.2 with is cool and all but a disappointment if it can’t be played able on Xbox one s or x. Same goes for PlayStation 4 you can’t play the update there either. I was so excited to play and see the no updates but to find out it is only of Xbox series X and S and PlayStation 5 is kind of sad.

I may be a rookie in the chat but I played cyberpunk 2077 when it first released.

It's sad, but "old-gen" doesn't support any newer version than 1.63 :(

EDIT: Sorry, I was having difficulty posting.

The character customizations options are actually nice, particularly the eyes. I feel the game runs pretty well now also without sacrificing looks.

Photomode.... Please make it respect whatever depth of field setting I have set in the game settings... I hate hate hate hate hate that I have to switch DoF off every single time I try to take a picture.

As to the other things, Im not sure. I think I wouldve rather had more clothes than the car paint thing.

With an unexpected update, I came in hoping against hope, "Oh, wow. Cool. Maybe they're finally adding an ending that doesn't feel like I played for dozens of hours only to take a jackhammer to my scrotum at the end."

I eagerly read through what the update includes.

And, alas, I come away disappointed yet again.
