Update 2.3 Patch Notes

+
My game is constantly crashing on mission with new bike. I can't move furhter than ~1 km from the point where I got it. So CD Projekt Red is constantly disappointing me. You can't fix your game in 5 years, you can't even release a proper patch. Shame on you

Mind if I ask how you got that mission ? - I have not been able to get any of the new ones, even after having let the auto-drive randomly take me around for several hours.

This update is trash. Its cool that the game is getting updated in general but you guys arent listening to the players. You give us more cars and stuff the game doesnt need because this type of game comes to and end. There's no reason for players to continue to hang out and enjoy NC after they beat the main story. This is why we need:

1)NG+
2)Bounties on our heads that causes a periodic wave of gang members to hunt us down for taking down their members.
3) The ability to reset ALL SIDE QUESTS, organized crime spots
4) A cyberpsycho mode where the game creates random cyberpsychos to hunt us down
5) A in game mod support were players can create the type of cyberpunk 2077 experience that you guys refuse to give us.
6) Character editor were we can place any weapon in the game in our inventory or change the stats to our liking (after completing the main story)
7) NG+
8) NG+
9) NG+
10) NG+

This patch isnt going to make people come back. What do we need a enchanced photo mode for? Once the game is complete people will play something else. They arent going to hang out in NC and take photos all day especialy if theres nothing to do.

Why do we need more cars when players use fast travel? ( which shouldnt even be in the game)

Not gonna lie, the Yaiba car having the same engine sound as the Caliburn made me a little sad. Since they probably will have to patch the auto-driver, they could sneak in a new engine sound? Maybe something inspired by the v8s people make using two hayabusa engines, since it's a motorcycle company?

I was asking for self-driving cars back on day 1. Not really a big deal now but cool nonetheless. I was and will forever be hoping for mod support on console. That would literally be every other potential patch, addition, & QOL change that they could possibly come up with all rolled into one. It's kinda stupid not to be working on it. I really hope they are but somehow I doubt it.

I got the update, its great, just that on console when I ordered that new bike, it told me I could leave so I drove away and after a few minutes the game crashed. I tried again and it crashed again. So now I am in a crash loop. Now I don't want to start a new save unless absolutely necessary, (or you give me robo arms that require me to start again) but I put in a lot of effort to get the lizard and I just got it yesterday I have done 120 hours on it completed most of the missions and done the weapon wall stash. Please fix it, I would like to try the bike (the kusinagi is the one I drive the most)

What's the bloody point of clothes or body mods and random sh*$ if we're still bloody stuck in first person, but yet another update with no new clothes. When yall gonna give us the option to sleep with our SO outside of their missions? Like they come over and hang an what not an shower an sleep in bed but no sex lmao

Mind if I ask how you got that mission ? - I have not been able to get any of the new ones, even after having let the auto-drive randomly take me around for several hours.
Sure
Fisrt, you have to buy new vehicle in autofixer
Then, you have to wait 24 hours
And repeat it multiple times
Eventually, you're gonna get messages. Oh, and btw! Check V's mail at M10 apartment. That's the most important part. Actually, start with it.

It would be good if a future update let's u fly cars that would be so fun and more futuristic so plz consider this for a future update

Wow I really love the auto driving feature and the delamain.

And I love that FSR4 is here and IT WORKS ON LINUX!

You need

- Proton-EM-10-25 or similar recent version
- recent mesa (for me, using ubuntu 24.04, using the kisak mesa fresh PPA was recent enough, at 25.1.6)

Then, just make steam use the newly installed proton and use the PROTON_FSR4_UPGRADE=1 as detailed in

After this, FSR4 can be selected in game (on RDNA 4 of course).

CDPR - Most people want this and want that, which makes sense.
Expecting the game was dead, I recently 100% it and achievements and cleared all the violence in Night City and surroundings.
To find out an update is coming out and more content at the end of the year is a blessing.

Seeing you guys passionate about Cyberpunk is amazing.
I am grateful for anything you add.

Got a chance to try out some of the new stuff. I like the auto drive. The motions are not smooth, but I expected that unless they re-wrote the entire driving and traffic code. Switching destinations worked well, which was a nice surprise. That alone makes the free update worth much more than I had to pay for it.

So now we all must buy a tv with vrr in it because the framerate is all over the place
we tested it on the Xbox series X and we have drops to 45 at some places that was never before this update ! also RT gets big dips
and what about the resolution ? it seems a little better but fps got worse so will this get fixed ? .. the game was perfect on the X now its not .
also that autodrive wants to kill me so we will skip that for now , overall not so happy with this update and like many others as i read over the net this update is not so appreciated for some .. i like the game but if you mess up a good working game and make it a little worse then whats the point for new features .

On series S it runs better with a stable 60 fps so something is way off on the X

Also 40 fps in qualty mode ? why is this not added on xbox X like on the nintendo switch 2 120hz 40fps ..

it just feels something is missing here with this patch/update

Can you guys look into the ncpd scanner crime scene Scannable bodies? You used to be able to scan these bodies to get extra context about what happened to who on the datashards stories.

Thank you for adding/fixing things, many developers would have thrown in the towel. Please strongly consider what the community has requested for years, such as 3rd person, New Game Plus, and adjustments to blinding reflections while driving. Paint jobs and pictures are cool but, please prioritize the most highly requested features the community has all but demanded. Choosing to live stream / count down a minor patch was in bad taste.

Hello CDPR,
I have played 6 hours of 2.3 update on PS5 so far it's smoother than 2.21. Textures and Lighting also look good with consistent framerate.
I was having constant crashing issue at 2.21 especially during side missions.
Haven't had any crashes yet in 2.3 but again.. haven't played much yet.
Note : I've tried reinstalling the game but same results.

Please look into side quests, that's where I'm getting a lot of bugs and crashes (on PS5)
For example :
1. Balls on the Walls - if game is reloaded during Scav car chase one car front car gets stuck.
2. Riders on the storm - while clearing wraiths camp game crashed like 7 times.
3. I Fought the Law - crashed like 5-6 times.
4. Sometimes while using Emergency Cloaking it still stays in combat mode.
5. Sometimes while getting into Radio menu it just keeps going sliding on all the stations like when you're holding down Dpad. (This one is bothering me since I got the game at 2.0)

I have played Cyberpunk 775+ hours, I love the game and the world. You guys did an incredible job.
But some more polishing is needed to make the game flawless guys to be honest. We've learnt to live with the bugs at this point.

And I know it may not be possible because of how the game was designed but consider NG+ or atleast Partial NG+ (no need to give us Erebus) like Jhonny's pistol or Wakako's Katana etc.
Cheers ^_^🥂

Switch 2 here, the game have no option to update, Is it because I have Japanese Region Cartridge on US Nintendo ID? I think this shouldn't be the issue at all... kind of weird.
