Update 2.3 Patch Notes

+
This is all cool, but a real quality of life improvement would be the option to turn off automatically returning to a main quest after finishing a side quest. I'm trying to do NCPD scanner missions, and I have to manually go and un-select the main missions every time. If I wanted to focus on the main mission, I'd enable it personally. It's a distraction to see it in the HUD when I'm trying to focus on scanner missions. I am grateful for the updates, but that's been annoying me since the game first came out.

After 6 hours updating the game, even went to bed, this morning I found a "update failed" message. What should I do? Delete and re-install?
It is also installing C++ stuff, I dont know why.

little recap, i played for about 2 hours, could not test the new cars yet:

  • autodrive:

the first feature i tried out. looks cool, but the performance is underwhelming. for many times the car goes off throttle for no reason except traffic lights and passengers walking, though it hits other cars and npcs every now and then. no fluid driving. 1st person view works at best.
when using cinematic view, i discovered V glitching until autodrive turns off. i think the problem could be the left elbow leaning on the windows frame.

  • hdr10 pq:

i play on ps5, so i was wondering if there were significant improvements. turning on hdr10 pq in the game menu and turning on hdr in the consoles settings, my fps counter of my gigabyte m27u monitor showed around 80 - 120 fps in raytracing mode. looked quite pretty but after some time, the screen became dark around the edges like a vignette effect, not only in game but in the ps5 menu as well. so i won't turn on hdr on ps5 again. if somebody uses the same monitor, please share your recommended settings.

  • crashes:

hadn't had a crash for a long time, but with this update it happened three times. two within the game, one in the start screen when i hit the button for resume game. sent reports of course.

  • photomode:

worked fine as usual. i like the new features.

seems like CDPR isn´t done yet.

First time ever I have a yellow something on the interact icon. Any guesses what it means

It's been a while, but not sure if it was there since release or introduced later... Anyway, it appear quite often on doors, trapdoors, access points, computers or anything you can interact with. I won't bet my wealth on it, but I guess it warm you that if enemies see you, they will aggro ("passive enemies" will turn hostile). Or for access points for example, if you fail, enemies will be alerted.

For example, I think you're in the area where you have to kill/knockout a Tiger Claws girl for Regina (and later another GIG). So if an enemi see you open/pass this door, they will attack you on sight.

I have a different issue. My game is heavily modded, and I can't play until some of the major mods are updated. I think they should have waited until those mod updates are ready before releasing 2.3.
Yes, that is annoying. I also feel they should have included all of the unannounced and unpromised features, especially the ones that they specifically said weren't coming.

> This save was created while playing the Phantom Liberty expansion. It cannot be loaded on a version of the game that does not have this expansion installed.

It’s really annoying that this is happening again with the 2.3 patch…

So, the more I play around with autodrive, the more it becomes apparent that the feature needs a lot of tuning. But when it works right, it's a lot of fun.

It's been there since so long ago XD. I believe it means that you're doing something illegal, not that cops will come after you but if an enemy in that area sees you doing it they'll immediately start combat

does this update affect the modding community? i just cant play with the mods I had downloaded when I was playing the other day and now I cant as of today
