I would like to share my thoughts regarding the recent 2.3 update for Cyberpunk 2077.
I appreciate the developers’ efforts to enrich the game with new features such as AutoDrive and Photo Mode, which will surely find their fans.
However, from my perspective as someone who has followed and played this title for a long time, this update raised more questions than answers.
It is especially difficult for me to accept that AVs — the flying vehicles so strongly associated with the atmosphere of Night City — remain inaccessible for use. It feels like a missed opportunity, especially since in one of the endings we see V riding such a vehicle, yet in the game, there is no possibility to ride them, even as autonomous transport.
Additionally, the Dogtown district, which should be one of the game’s greatest assets, still struggles with performance issues that hinder full immersion in the world.
In my opinion, it would be better to focus on improving these aspects and introducing more meaningful changes rather than adding more cosmetic details, which, although visually attractive, do not significantly impact gameplay.
Looking to the future, I hope that Cyberpunk Orion will bring these long-awaited changes — full freedom, real exploration, and utilization of all the elements of the world that so far have only served as background.
Thank you for your work so far, and I hope that future installments of this franchise will be even better.
