Update 2.3 Patch Notes

+
My name is Marcos, and I'm a writer for the Brazilian news channel Game+ Info. I'd really like the CD Projekt team to comment on the difficulties they're having in adding the NG+ mode, which is essentially the game's replayability. The additions in the new patch are welcome, but it's absurd that something so simple hasn't been added since its release. It's frustrating not to be able to fully utilize the potential acquired in a new journey. At least bring this issue up in your next meetings. As I said, this is something basic that should have been implemented in the game since its release and hasn't been introduced yet.

At least answer this question.

What I hope to see:

1. FSR 3.1.4, for the Upscaler and Frame Gen
2. Enabling Frame Gen, be it DLSS FG, FSR FG or XeFG, it SHOULD NOT require a game restart, exactly like it was before patch 2.2.
3. Game has Nvidia Reflex. I hope to see official AMD Anti-Lag 2 and Intel XeLL
4. For FSR FG: hopefully, vignette is now no longer part of the HUD, so FG works properly on it and FG doesn't only affect the middle of the screen
5. Hoping for further performance/quality tweaks of RT/PT denoiser when not using Ray Reconstruction.
6. FIX installing the Kioshi eyes in the tutorial section of the game, animation for that has been bugged since 2020, or so I've heard.

If I remember, Pawel Sasko already comment about this. From memories, they didn't encouter difficulties adding NG+, they "simply" decided that NG+ will not work in Cyberpunk.
So it's not they can't or struggle adding it, it's they won't and they said it many times ;)

Even though you are a writer for a game magazine you can't understand how hard to add NG+ if the game is balanced without an NG+. They should have rebalence the whole game from scratch, every mission, every cyberwear, EVERYTHING. It would make them for 1-2 years of development and you have to count from Patch 2.0 because they changed the game RPG system from the base. It will not come I assume. And I don't know how people can't think behind the development time. For players it is an option but for devs it is a whole new project and CDPR is full time working on Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2. So it will not happen.

psst... I do not believe he is a writer for "Brazilian news channel Game+ Info".

the context of roleplay would be gone. no progression. i think this is what pawel meant as well.
I can't speak for them and I don't remember if Pawel Sasko provided more details (I don't think so), but they thought about adding NG+ in Cyberpunk (like they did with TW3) at one point and then dropped it.
So that's why people shouldn't expecting NG+ in the game and even less being "angry" they're not adding it (yes, sure you can be disappointed, but you can't reasonably expecting them adding a feature they said they won't^^).

It's cool that you're continuing to update the game even though you said it was finished! Anyway, I don't think players really want to use the photo mode... More cars is cool, it diversifies the game a bit more, and fixing bugs is good. But adding more romance to the game, more side missions, adding contracts, and NCPD frequencies. Also more dialogue options with NPCs in the game. That would be cool, especially if you plan to release another update for the game before Orion.

Still NEVER even got the level 60 netrunner skill ever working....broken since launch, never fixed after all this time. WTF.
Still wont add the ... microtransaction unique smart sniper from ... twitch ....

YES! THIS! Please CDPR!! Skill progression milestones are super wonky. Sometimes they work, most often they don’t. The Lvl 60 Netrunner milestone hasent worked since 2.0!

With that being said I do really like the new features for 2.3, especially the auto drive and delemain cab access, but the skill progression bugs seem like something that should have been fixed ever since phantom liberty released.

Tldr: thank you, love the content, but please fix perk progression in update 2.4

I do like the cinematic camera idea. That is dope. I see this update has underwhelmed a lot of players. This should tell you something. Not that the update is bad but, that the community behind this game is very passionate.

That said, it is a shame New Game+ was not added, given that (and judging by the amount of comments I saw on the stream), it's by far the most requested feature. They could conjure up all kinds of excuses for it, but if a mod can add New Game+, CDPR certainly could. Even better I imagine.

Nevertheless, I can't complain too much. The #1 thing I personally wanted the most is FSR4 support, which is confirmed to come. So I'm happy with that.

As I recall, there was a comment made in regards to having difficulties. Made about a year before 2.0 was released. Which likely was in relation to addressing the level scaling of the game and how it'd work for NG+.

Later on the comments were mostly about simply not wanting NG+ in the game. With the intention that to replay the game you start from scratch (Of course PL brought with it that PL start to boot to speed things along for new playthroughs)

"Rebalancing" a game for a New Game+ is generally a simple process. How do we know? Because mods do it all the time. Including the very mod that added New Game+ on PC, which in most people's experience who have used the mod, works great. So PC players have this option, because they can mod their game, but console players have no such option at all.
New Game+ was added to Witcher 3 within a year of its launch. It doesn't take long to add such a feature, at all.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a single player game. "Balance", specially for such a mod, isn't a priority. And this can be adjusted with simple scaling. The priority here is to give people the option, as it seems to be the #1 most requested feature. If a mod can do it, CDPR can do it. And they can do it better.

rather of what is in the patch notes, I'm rather thinking of what is not, nvidia driver because there is a beta driver with smooth motion in public tests and windows 11 version, because I can't update past 26100.4061 because will break SteelSeries Sonar which I use to amplify sounds (I'm deaf).
win11 updates are indeed important, because they have some fixes for game crashes.

Yes they can, for sure. But they won't ;)
Here more info (thanks @Andrew_Waples ^^)

As long as the patch notes don't say anything about "offline installer for GOG for the pre-order bonus of Phantom Liberty" which the customer has paid BY pre-ordering it but still is not able to use without Galaxy (in opposite to what you would expect on a DRM-free store like GOG) you still have lost me as a customer. The most atrocious thing CDPR ever did though is [...] telling me that there is no technical way to create an offfline installer for the pre-order bonus [...]. At least be honest. Say that you don't want or don't care. Well ... as I said: Whenever I should read that the offline installer as promised has been added for GOG customers I will reconsider and buy CDPR games again. I usually keep my promises so you not doing this simply means that you don't care about the lost income and lost reputation.
