Upgrading skill issue

I am experiencing a very strange behaviour in the game.

I started the game at easy level and now I have restarted a new game in dark mode.

The game works perfectly fine except for one issue : I am unable to add talent points to new skills.

I have a few talent points to add but I have no access to the option to add them to a skill

If someone knows how to troubleshoot this.

If you're playing in Hard or Dark Mode, you need to meditate to assign you abilities.
