I also see this side of the discussion. It's the reason The Sims never fascinated me. It was like micro-managing another life.Intriguing idea, however I spend enough time worrying about bills and rent. I play video games to get away from the mundane.
That level of involvement, I can do without. The level of involvement of friend / girlfriend upkeep in GTA 4, I can do without.
But, the idea of keeping your Trauma Team account paid up, or having to reload / reinstall the anti-personnel systems at your safehouses is interesting to me. The idea of maintenance on your arms / armor, or repairing your ride after a firefight (or boosting a new one) is interesting to me.
