USB connection - DualSense works but DualSense Edge (Pro) is not detected by the game.

+
So,
I have a DualSense (PS5 regular controller) - I can't really use it due to stick drift :(
and a new DualSense Edge (PS5 Pro controller).

The first one works. Game detects and I can use it in the menu and in-game.
The second one (the Edge) is not detected by the game, but is detected by the Red Launcher?! Once the game starts, the controller is not detected :(

Also, I don't have this issue in Cyberpunk 2077 so there is something specific to Witcher 3 :)
Any help? :)

Thank you

You can always reach out to CDPR support, for example using this support form:
(there is no support form for controller issues, so this one will have to do)

In general, the PC version of Witcher 3 doesn't officially support all the latest controllers.
I don't have the pro version so I can't really test it myself.

However, if you have steam, you could play with the controller settings in big picture mode and see if that does anything.
Running steam in the background can also override controls, even if you are playing on GOG or Edge (usually I find this very annoying but in rare cases it might be helpful...),

Other then that maybe third party controller emulation software like this one can help:

But as said before, I don't know what the best way is in this case since I can't really test it myself...

Thanks :)
Yeah. I tried both the GoG and the Steam version.
Sure Steam Input works as it emulated the controller as an XBOX one. The only issue with this is that I get Xbox glyrphs for the buttons and Adaptive triggers for ex. don't work.
I haven't tried DS5 yet. I do have ReWASD which also has emulation. I might give it ago. I will try to submit a ticket, so thank you for the link ;)

Cheers!

Check out the GuliKit King Kong Pro 2 if you happen to decide to replace that controller. Hall sensors on the sticks and triggers, and they're often on sale for between $35-$50. Beautiful piece of equipment. Plus, they can be configured with a single button to work like a Windows/Xbox, Playstation, or Nintendo controller.
