Usb problem

You try a clean install ?
If it's not already done and if you don't use mods, I suggest to send a ticket to the support > "Contact Us" button (close category).

That's weird. Would you share your system specifications? Maybe there are commonalities that could lead to the cause.

Similar. but not quite as often.

Seems to happen once every playsession (though I have not done a multiple hour session yet on 1.6). And not all my USB devices, but my wheel (G29) resets itself (does the spinny thing) and my RGB controller (which is usb connected) stops working untill I restart it's app and my sound stops working untill I reset that aswell. Mouse and keyboard are not affected though.

I have not done a clean install yet and there are no mods used (ever).

No such trouble here, fwiw.

PC in short: TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4, Intel Core i7-12700K, G.Skill F4-4000C15Q-32GTZR @ 4000 MHz CL15, Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3090 OC Edition, Asus ROG Swift 360Hz PG259QN, Creative Sound Blaster AE-9

USB devices: SteelSeries Apex 7, Red, Razer Viper 8k + Razer Naga Pro @ 3200 dpi, Logitech Streamcam Webcam, TT Fan Controller, Corsair AX1600i, Corsair Hydro Series H115i RGB Platinum

Latest Win 10 & drivers for everything.

Important question here, as always:

Are you using any mods, or have you ever used any in the past.

Especially if you used a mod that changed the way controls work. I know there are some mods out there that tried to get aim-assist working properly, allow players to rebind certain keys, etc. Those types of things may have weird consequences, especially after an update.

_______________

If you can verify that it's happening on a playthrough that has never used mods, this is going to be a pickle. The game is clearly not communicating with the peripheral. The constant restarting thing is strange. I'd go directly to CDPR Support with this one:

(I know it's not a graphical issue, but that's the most apt category for what we've got.)

There is a second path to it. Maybe some hardware/driver failure occurred at the same time as the update, by coincidence.

You didn't smash the mouse when the update took too long, did ya? ;) Jk.

So, maybe you could start looking into causes unrelated to the game.

I'm sure you asked OP but since I have the same issue I'm gonna go ahead and hijack this.

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core 3.70GHz
64 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080

My mouse is a Razer Viper Ultimate (wireless) and my keyboard is a plugged in USB keyboard from Corsair, can't remember the name but it's farily new.
Both mouse (the stand) and keyboard are plugged into the back of the computer, not in the front ports. The issue is only when playing CP2077.

Hello, I don't know if anybody else has ever experienced this bug before, but after the 1.6 patch, I've been experiencing a major gamebreaking bug that prevents me from playing the game with a keyboard and mouse.

In the middle of the game, sometimes the game would just not recognize any of my keyboard inputs for a solid few seconds before recognizing it again. Sometimes when I'm in the middle of pressing an input (say a movement key), the game would just get stuck at that input for a few seconds before resetting itself. It's as if the game's constantly unplugging and plugging my keyboard back in at random (there were no windows alert notifications telling me that my keyboard was unplugged either).

I've checked my devices thoroughly and found that none of them were malfunctioning, I've tried several other games with the same keyboard and they work perfectly fine, my xbox controller and mouse seems to work fine with the game too, I have no other third party keyboard apps running in the background, I've done a clean sweep re-install 5 times now with the instructions provided on this website, and the only mod I've ever used in the game prior to 1.6 is the Cyber Engine Tweaks. Post patch, I even tried reinstalling CET and turning on the AMD SMT fix which didn't help at all.

So far, the issue calmed down greatly after I did a clean update on my Nvidia GPU driver, but it's still present and making the game unplayable. I do hope to see some solutions for this problem soon.

I've installed the Steam version of the game and,
my pc specs are:
Ryzen 5 5600x
32gb 3200 dual channel RAM
RTX 3060 Ti
Samsung 870 Evo SSD
Windows 10 Pro

Just a guess (could really be wrong^^), but I wonder if the "cross-progression" option could be the culprit by "slowing down" your game for few seconds each time an auto-save is created.
So if you didn't already disable it, try by disabling this option in the game settings :)

I can't seem to find the cross-progression option in the settings, where is it located?

I've disabled cross-progression and restarted my computer to see if the problem is fixed. Sadly it didn't help. I got into a firefight and my key was stuck to walking to the left for a second and got me killed.

I also had these usb issues, my mouse and keyboard were constantly restarting.

I was on Windows 11 with the latest nvidia drivers installed. I did a clean install of Windows 11 and the game but that didn't fix anything. I might also add that i have Steelseries GG and Razer Synapse installed since im using the Steelseries Apex Pro and Razer Viper V2 Pro.

So i reverted to using Windows 10 and I have had no issues since then. Probably something conflicting with drivers or something similar.

Edit: This only happened in Cyberpunk 2077, and even after closing the game my keyboard was restarting all the time until i either replugged it or restarted my pc, my mouse would recover after a couple of seconds though.

Yep, after watching your video, can't be that :(
Unfortunately, all I can suggest is to send a ticket to the support for help ("Contact Us" button). Adding a DxDiag could help too.
(Indicate in the report everything you have already tried. no category for your issue, so...)

Interesting. I mentioned earlier that my setup is unaffected.
And, indeed, I have anything cloud-like turned off where I can help it. My data belongs on my PC. CP2077 saves are no exception.

Yep, but with the "cross-progression" enabled, somes have the save tab which is quite unresponsive (it take few secondes to display the saves) and saves (quick saves) which take a "long" while to be "created". So I think, it could depend (maybe the speed of the internet connection). But it was worth to take a look :)

Follow up, problem seems to go away if I shutdown my RGB controller app before launching the game (ARCTIC RGB Control Master).

Speculating, the newly added Razer Chroma support is making some API calls it's not supposed to...

Nope -- that's not a hijack -- that's a confirmation that the bug is native. (At least in your case.) Thanks!

Go ahead and send the issue in, if you haven't already.

Hm. Starting to sound more like a Windows 11 issue. I have Windows 11.

Can you post more detailed specs?

Glad I found this thread. I've been having the same issue since the update. 2 things are happening to me. My peripherals intermittently disconnect and reconnect and my mouse seems to freeze up every 5 seconds or so, so I'm stuck looking in a certain direction until I get mouse control back (I assume this is due to my mouse having connection issues).

I reinstalled the game, but it didn't fix it. I've tried every solution I can find online, but not a lot of people are talking about this issue so far and nothing has worked. I don't have the aforementioned software running to control RGB, so unfortunately this solution doesn't work for me. This issue does not happen in any other games.

Anyone have any other ideas?
