[V1.03] Fast travel broken

Description:
Trying use the Fast Travel to any other "zone" than the one I am currently in crashes the game. To prevent misunderstandings I will restate: Using Fast Travel in the same "zone" works fine, it is only trying to leave it for another that crashes the game to the desktop.
For instance; Crow's Perch to Hanged Man's Tree works fine, but trying to leave the zone via any location crashes the game irrespective of which zone I choose as destination.
I am currently stuck in Velen/Novigrad, I am trying to get to Skellige. The game crashes during the narration piece by Dandelion during the loading screen - let's call it a cutscene henceforth for brevity's sake. I have ruled out that it could be linked that that specific cutscene, as it crashes when I try to travel to any other zone as well.

Narrowing the problem down:
- It cannot be because of corrupted game files: I have verified game files, GoG Galaxy claims everything is shipshape. Additionally, I have gone though my backlog of Manual Saves - 20 hours of playtime ago, Fast Travel to Skellige works fine with nothing altered in my setup, I simply loaded an older save.
- It cannot be because of graphic settigns: Basically because of above reason, but I also tested it. Swapping between various states for the game window did nothing. VSync made no change. Frame limiting, also nothing.
- It cannot be because of a background application: Again, the Fast Travel works with an older save. Also, the only background applications I have running when I play the game are GoG Galaxy and my anti-virus.

Old version of OP:
I am currently stuck in Velen/Novigrad, as when I try to Fast Travel to anywhere else the game crashes to desktop during (presumably) older Dandelion's narration.
In-game I've tried varying both the departure and destination points, to no avail. I have also tried repairing the installation - likewise.

I can provide a savegame if needed for reproduction purposes - just let me know.
Else, if someone knows of a workaround to the bug? I would greatly appreciate it.

... Oh, lest I forget - running GoG Galaxy version, should that make a difference.

Just a thought, your files could actually have gotten corrupted. Try using the repair installation option. I could check it if you'd like in my game.

Having the exact same issue. Lost a good 50 hours of gameplay to it.

Don't think it's the game files as having started all over again, I can fast travel between regions just fine.
 
I'm having the same issue, except on Skellige Isles trying to go to Velen. Earlier saves work, but nothing that isn't like.. ten to twenty hours back, whatever it is.
 
To the other posters with the same problem:
Going through my backlog of manual saves I discovered they are all broken up to many hours of playtime ago. The first save that works is right before starting Triss' secondary quest.
Can anyone confirm/deny any link?
 
Haven't got any useable saves to really confirm this, but that's round about when it started for me. Didn't get my first crash until I'd finished up all the main quests in Novigrad and tried to go to Skellige.
 
I have the same problem. 30 or so hours in and now cannot fast travel from Velen back to White Orchard or Vizima palace. I have older saves that work fine, so it's not a game files issue, but these go back 10 to 15 hours. Older saves are before the patch, so it's likely not a compatibility problem either.

Started a new game and so far no problems.

I downloaded this file, I got a .rar file, so I assume you did that before uploading?
But when I try to extract the file I get an error.
"The Zip file (C:\Users\usernamel\Documents\The Witcher 3\Test\gamesaves.zip) is empty. Nothing to load.
No files to process

I would like to try and help, but cant help if I dont have the files to look at

It's not an issue that we think that our systems might be a problem. I and the other posters know that the fast travel does work on a new game however the saved games that we've progressed in have become corrupted in a manner of speaking.

My guess is that we've done something which has resulted in conflicts. i.e the order of quests competed/started/on going is causing each other to conflicted in and thus causing the classic CTD, I remember there being a similar issue with TES but that was more easy to troubleshoot and solve temporally due to the command console. It's very likely that we've lost the saved games for good.

Having exactly the same problem

OP is right in that it has nothing to do with ones own system. I've had two friends who each own different versions of the game (one GOG like me and one on steam) try to travel to another region with my savegame and they crash to desktop without an error report as well.

Ok, I've done some experimenting:
The game first starts acting weird right after I fist fight the two ushers and win for [The play's the thing] main quest. Half of the time the Fast Travel will CTD when changing zones, but its not until you finish this quest that it breaks completely; with CTD occurring 100% of the time.

I crash even earlier, with [The play's the thing] in my journal but not really started.
Game was fine when i first came to Novigrad, after half of the Triss questline the savegame got corrupt.
 
Getting the EXACT same thing.

Same crash log and everything. I can fast travel to the other areas (starting area castle etc) just not to the main novigrad map.
 
Out of curiosity did you do Triss' quests? I heard it was related to her questlines. I did them all, all that I could, and have the problem and can't get to Skellige. He hasn't done them, and is in skellige, game working fine.

I have the same problem but I am in Skellige and I can't travel to Velen/Novigrad. Anyone having a problem like this?
 
I've already posted in another thread about the same thing, but I'll say it here as well. Everything was working correctly until I went to novigrad. Did a few quests for triss and tried to proceed to skellige. Fast travel within the zone works correctly, but the game simply exits to desktop when trying to fast travel to other zones.

Just updated to 1.04 and problem still exists

I'm pretty sure the quests with Triss might've had something to do with it. After I did the quests for Triss I went to Skellige and ever since then I have not been able to travel back to Novigrad/Velen.
