Not sure if it's new or if it was already in the game and I somehow missed it the last time I played:
The scythe, sold by the witch, which make harvesting large fields very easy. Still have to replant seed again, but hey, better than nothing...
I still can't believe they didn't change the ballista aiming target system... It's either everything, me include or just one enemy type. It makes it quite useless to be honest.

Yes. It's very annoying to get shot by your own defences I guess they had a reason to do it like that, but I still don't like it. We just turn of the raids completely nowadays, which is kinda cheesy, but I love base building and I have more than too much experience of how it works with the raids It doesn't.
EDIT: I have always thought that the ballista is only available because of Gjall. In which case the targeting almost makes sense.

Just a guess, but I think the reason is likely... raids. It would be fairly easy to put a bunch of ballista which would annihilate everything by their own (with black metal blots, which you can farm infinitely or almost).
Yep, I disabled raid also... I don't want my base looks like a giant fortress neither having to entirely enclose my tames. So no "the ground is shaking" on my world.
Anyway, I think they could add an option for ballista in the world settings also (aiming at players on-off).

It does sound quite OP indeed. Like I used to think. Until I figured out, that all the bolts will go to waste with greylings, deers and boars And when the raid actually happens, your ballistas are out of bolts. They also have somewhat limited field of view, so unless you have tons of ballistas all over the place, they don't cover too much ground. Or we just weren't smart enough to use them properly.
Except once, when we went to raid a goblin village and placed one ballista towards the village with "shoot everything that moves" aim.

Yes, but at least, they will farm mobs while being in your base
I saw someone who used doors in front of them to "enable" them at wish. Anyway I hope they will introduce something to make them a bit more useful in the futur. Until then, ballista are quite useless, sadly.

I love the Mistlands, really
Especially during a sunny day and when entering in an area where there is no mist. What a lovely place, if we ignore these disgusting Gjall...
Almost, almost...!
I just started to download the update for The Witcher 3 and in the meantime, I took care of Fader. Now the dilemma... Reaching the Deep North or starting my new run on The Witcher 3. Both option are very entising
As far as survival games go, I thought it had an interesting progression with the bosses and biomes. You could somewhat rush to get your materials, upgrade your gear and make it to the boss.
But as many survival games, it’s extremely grindy.
i spent a whole Saturday chopping wood and hunting for deer. That’s not what I call memorable gameplay.
For a gamer dad who usually gets 6-8h of fame time throughout the week, it’s not for me. The juice isn’t worth the insane amount of squeeze

Hi,
You might not be aware about it, but you can greatly increase the resources gathering in the world settings to reduce drastically the amount of grinding and time you will have to spend gathering resources. The same goes for several game limitations or features of the game.

As @LeKill3rFou mentioned, you can change the world settings even in your current game. You just have to do it before starting your world.
Normal settings are bit too demanding for me, even if I have time to play. Those settings can make a huge difference, so I recommend trying those before abandoning the game.
We finally reached The North. Those seals are super cute <3
It was somewhat late yesterday, so I didn't spend that much time in there. And the little I did, I was in a forest so full of trees, that it was nearly impossible to see anything. Except one time, when I ran to the open seashore covered with ice.
Which ended up in a very cold bath...
Biome seems to be interesting, but I was mostly at our Meadows base, while my brave warrior was out there in the snow doing the shoveling. I'm so eager to go back to my freeplay world and use all my favorite mods and dev commands and just start experimenting with everything new.
Absolutely loving the new building pieces and that wardrobe!
I passed the "two in-game years" milestone a couple day ago and I keep pushing back the very end of the game...
While sailing to an invasion, I found the perfect island for me. Half plains, half meadow and with good proportions (not too big, not too small and with a squary/round shape). So... I built a new house! With the same design, but bigger, with extensions, with more chest and the new deep north/ashlands stuff.
In the meantime, I spent time to get two star boars, tamed two lox and bring back two star wolves to the island. With chickens I will have a nice little farm.
I also tamed the two creatures that as far as I'm aware, I can't bring back in solo (a bit sad thought) which are :
- Moose. I keep seacrhing a two star one, but no luck so far since it's not a really "common" creature.
- Asksvin. Didn't find two star one either, but it's way more dangerous to hagging around here at night... so each time, it's an adventure, a dangerous one.
yep great new stuff, but I'm still a bit disappointed that wardrobe aren't that effective (Reinforced chest still the best...). And with a controller (not sure with M&K) it's quite a bit annoying to have to scroll down each time you open one. For gears, it's fine, but for thing you keep putting in and out, it's annoying.
-----
And there is one thing which bother me
Deep North gears can not be fully upgraded. They require bench level which doesn't exist in the game yet. hope they will add them with an update or maybe a DLC. I didn't mind with Mistlands or Ashlands because the game was in early access, but now it is no longer the case...

Oh no...!
I shouldn't watch this kind of video!
My "very practical" house that I really love looks so... primitive and boring. I want to build another house now
Incredible build by the way
