Various Issues - Graphical - 1440p and options won't open

Hi.

I am trying to redo W2 before w3 comes out, and I reinstalled the game, got the 10GB download and the subsequent patches until I am at 3.4.

The problem is I can't run "options" from Launcher. Launcher closes, nothing, then launcher re-runs.

I found tweaker but the only resolution options are max 1900x1200 and I have a 1440p (2560x1440p) monitor.

Is it possible to run at 1440p and if so how? If not what is the next best option and shall I run full screen?

I also get a direct3d Init error which if I close, the game seems to run ok without.

I have a i7 4770k, 16gb, gtx970. ssdx4 in raid 0. W8.1 pro

Ok I found a way by adding the bits from another ini file to the resolution. Also managed to get it running full screen
