Venus in Furs: I hate it.

+
You can always just not text her back

Sure, an option to blow her off would be funny I guess, but I feel like it would have the same result as not answering, which is being locked out of the item. I also think Meredith was meant to have more content that got cut, I've never seen that confirmed anywhere but her appearances on TV and some her dialogue leads me to believe that in one path she dies, but in the other she was meant to have more side content. But I guess we'll never know unless someone from CDPR comes right out and says it.
That's what I did, I just ignored the text, she does say something like '...and remember, I don't know you'. Regardless, I just wasn't going to go there, literally. I just wish we had a way to delete or block the text from her (or anybody else) and move on. I did try but nothing seems to work, it's just there and won't go away. So I guess she is there...just waitng.

I've just finished sending a bug report about the vanishing reply options. A small but really annoying bug.
I will too, cost nothing.
Beside, Do you know if you selecting the second option "No way. Don't trust you!" end the quest?
(or don't start it at least)

Well, I've heard and made some truly remarkable 'Morning after' rationalisations in my time but 'it was in my quest log' - thats a new one :)

It's the best mission in game, I have made a manual backed up save just to replay it again and again.
I wish cyberpunk had repeatable mission with her.

Pyramid Song is my favorite (as much for the diving as the sex) but I keep a Venus in Furs save, too.

So I don't mind sex scenes, and I don't mind that Stouts special weapon is locked behind it.

I do agree that all sex scenes should be skippable and that there should be some dialogue option to say no when you see her in the motel room.

Buuuut, I have to say that the worst unskippable mission is "Shoot to thrill" since it looks you out of a gun-shop. Like you can say no in the text, and it still shows up. If you go there and say no, they just wait around. So you have to to it and I frakking hate it. Sure you get a gun out of it, but it's not a gun I care about anyway.

I agree with you, though I think the general notion here is to make her this pragmatic, overly-the-top-straight -to-the-point corpo cold bish. But lord did I dislike her character.

Personally, I don't mind the mission. Well, beyond a couple of qualms:

- The message about "Wanting to get a closer look at your ink" makes no sense. From what I've observed, her only tattoo is the eagle on her chest. Which is not visible outside of the "Outfit" she wears during the Venus in Furs. Her formal attire is not deep cut enough for it to be even slightly visible.

- She keeps the tape over her nipples during sex. Which feels somewhat odd and seems similar to the game's overall approach to nudity, whereby some times it enables full nudity (Such as during character creation and on menus. While during Transmission, Alt has her vagina visible both during the sex scene itself but also in the ensuing dialogue afterwards), while other times it censors things (All the strippers, even ones in places like Lizzies bar, will have their nipples and genitals covered. Also, actual in game character model V will wear underwear)

It is also quite possible to not ever activate this quest. If you don't see Meredith during the mission The Pickup, she'll not be involved with it and thus have no reason to contact V later.

However, I am pro-choice. With the idea being that there should be a way for someone to work with Meredith, but then decline the offer for Venus in Furs to become available.

Ideally, in lieu of that aforementioned reply that makes no sense. So there are 2 options, one that activates the mission for the sex scene and availability of the "Weapon" and one that declines the offer and keeps Meredith and V's relationship purely professional (And restricted to just The Pickup because despite the dialogue referencing future work, no other interactions exist in the game)

Ha, nice one to mention. Seeing the title, I realized it's a quest I've never taken. Watched it on youtube. So that's where you get the big dil**. Ha! I've seen it in screenshots and thought it may have been a specialty of a store like that one from River's informant. Oh well.
