VERY HARD CHIMERA

+
Yep, in very hard with Sandevistant-katana-knives :)

Just need to avoid being too close (or managing to avoid the AOE defensinve attack) and simply avoid the big laser (simply jump above it), the missiles and "gatling gun". In short, focus on weak points (highlighted in orange) and keep moving.

No the most easy fight, but not especially difficult as long as you manage to avoid its attacks (and remember, I'm not a hardcore gamer, I don't like soul games^^).

Staying on the lower level tends to be easier to avoid damage (It uses its annoying moves less frequently)

Try to avoid melee range because it will trigger a melee attack that does massive damage and knocks you down (So you are stunned and can't do anything. Not even healing using Bloodpump)

For the Rocket Barrage, keep moving and avoid cover (As the rockets can destroy it)

For the Gun Barrage, stay in cover.

When Poison Gas is used, go to the upper floor.

You can jump over the laser beam instead of taking cover, allowing you a free chance to deal damage to it (Especially the weakpoints on its back)

EMP damage is great. EMP grenades, weapons like Fenrir, Genjiroh and Yinglong and System Shock quickhack are useful.

Muscle Memory perk from Reflexes is very useful to allow you to reload while sprinting.

Smart weapons are useful for targeting the weakpoints on the Chimera. Though in the second phase it will prioritize the Chimera weakpoints over the drones.

When the 2nd phase starts, take out the attack drones ASAP. Then take out the repair drones. The Attack Drones can be pretty deadly on Very Hard.

I couldn't ecape it on normal setting. I got to the lift with the slow moving President, it knocked my down and clue came up to shoot the cable which wasn't there seconds earlier but the time it took to aim was far too short to get to my feet or aim at all. Gave up after one hour of repeat reload saves and begun a new character. I absolutely dislike games that have an over powered or 'rage quit' boss but I do like this game so selected 'easy' with this new girl from street kid and not corpo.

Already enjoying 'gorilla' smashing fists but taking my time to get to this giant later. Guess it's all in the player choices so it's still a very good game imo!

You don't need to aim at all at that part. It's a scripted cutscene interaction. You just press the confirm button and your character will do the actions necessary. Similar with the follow up QTEs (Quick Time Events) during that scene, you just press the confirm button and V will go and do the necessary actions.

Yes, such a thing is not very interesting design... Though it was a hugely popular thing around 15 years ago with 2010 being plagued with QTE's all over the place (With even games like Heavy Rain having QTE's as their primary gameplay feature)

Have to try sandevistan + burya. And collect relic update for "show weakpoints" when escording president. Have anybody noticed a bug at sandevistan. Doesnt activate always. Mouse should be okay. Sandevistan is nice but makes very hard rather easy. Feels like cheating.

I believe my first playthrough was very hard. I wouldn't have it any other way. Everything was doable.
But the game may have changed since, or you may be experiencing a bug. I hope you get help here from recent players.

I am using tier 5++ Militech Apogee. Activation works fine outside combat, but doesnt work during combat. It worked fine at first. Problems started when V was near level 50.

At level 52 sandevistan doesnt work at all.

Finally did it. Just needed the right tools. Actually it was rather easy. Flatlined that pain in the *** at first try. Burya + maximized revolver perks. Didnt use sandevistan. Level 60.
