Viable social options for quests/gigs

For a CRPG, there are seemingly very few role-playing options outside the main story.
In most cases, we get to pick between the murder-hobo and the sneak route.
When we have to recover Jacob's eye, it be nice to be able to talk to.. someone.. maybe negotiate to buy it back, intimidate with high street rep or Body before I shoot up the place.
When trying to recover the Medicine from the war-vet, picking the skill-based conversation options should yield a better result (I get it, Night City is not a happy place).
