I also tried to run the game as admin or by using XP compatibility. Do you have any idea on how solve that?
the error log says that you did not install the hotfix :hmmm:NathielEct said:Here joined the errlog and the PCWdoc, hope it'll help you to help me

To anyone that re install their video drivers.... ALWAYS use the proper procedure which is :Video card removal and installation the RIGHT wayThis step is very important. Lots of problems come from video driver not installed properly. You may think that installing your video driver is simply downloading it and installing it over the old one. Well this is one of the major mistake!! So follow this and you should not have many problems. 1. You need to download a couple of things: i. Video driver Nvidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us ii. ATI: http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html iii. If you own a laptop, display drivers don't get updated or are updated way too late. Good news, you can find a third party driver for your card. iv. OMEGA http://www.omegadrivers.net/ v. Laptop Video To Go Website http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/ vi. Nvidia Laptop drivers site http://www.ngohq.com/ 2. Driver Sweeper i. Driver Sweeper http://downloads.guru3d.com/Guru3D---Driver-Sweeper-(Setup)_d1655.html#download 3. Head into control panel > add remove programs and select your Nvidia or ATI display drivers and remove them 4. Restart into safe mode - to get into safe mode keep pressing F8 while your machine is booting 5. Once in safe mode run driver sweeper, and clean using ATI or Nvidia setting depending on what card you have (don't remove Nvidia chipset as you may lose your internet connection and cause other problems) 6. Restart into normal mode once cleaning is finished 7. If the “new device found” start, press cancel as soon as you can. 8. Install your new drivers and restart after installation completes 9. Enjoy your fresh new video card driversLicaonKter said:get latest DirectX: http://downloads.guru3d.com/DirectX-End-User-Runtimes-(March-2009)-download-1943.htmlget latest nvidia drivers: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x64_185.85_whql.htmlget new game hotfix: http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=21009.0 run witcher.exe as Administrator with UAC on Quiet, in Compatibility mode Windows XP SP2LicaonKter said:Hi there, I've been having a lot of trouble with this game. Go directly in C:\Program Files\The Witcher Enhanced Edition\System Folder and start the game with the file witcher.exe.right click on it, set it to compatibility mode, be sure to put a check beside Disable Theme, get out of it, right click on it again and run as admin... Look if there is again an error message and if it is different...
