Vista Fix BCDEDIT Won't go through

When i try to run BCDEDIT it brings up the black screen for it, then it closes right away. How do i get it to stay open..

I don't know, what exactly you want to do - but there are more intuitive programs for most of the things you wanna do in the new Vista boot file/options - like EasyBCD and VistaBootPRO ...
