Vortex and Mac -- help?...

+
Hi!

Can someone at CD Projekt Red please urge Nexus Mods to expedite the development of the Vortex Mod Manager app for Mac please? I've been playing Cyberpunk 2077 since it came out on Windows by booting up Windows on my old 2010 Mac Pro tower and I would really love to be able to play it on my new Mac Mini M4. However, cross game play is difficult because I have a ton of mods on the Windows-side of Cyberpunk 2077, but none of the same installed on the Mac (near impossible since Vortex is currently only for Windows -- unless I install them all manually for 2000+ mods). It would be very helpful if Vortex was available for Mac, as I could then have smooth cross game play and not get the warning on the Mac-side that the current save file (on the Windows-side) has mods in them -- and that there may be play errors because of that. Vortex for Mac would be very much appreciated (and yes, I do know that CD Projekt Red does not develop the Vortex app... just wondering if a little nudge at Nexus Mods by CD Projekt Red might help speed things along).

Thank you much for hearing me out!

I would doubt it, sorry. Nexus is a completely independent, community-run organization. A studio putting pressure on the community to release an app they're using their personal time to create? Almost definitely probably certainly not.

It makes more sense to post this request in the nexus mod forum, so they know that there is demand:

No idea what the plans of the new owners of Nexus Mods are. We will see…

Sending it here is a good thing. Any developer that hears, "When will this be out!? Please, release it!" will be grinning for hours. That's fuel!

Sorry, I didn't realize that Nexus was totally community run. All the same, there's a disparity between the Mac and Windows version of Cyberpunk 2077 -- especially on cross play when mods are included, with no real easy fix. I wasn't suggesting that CDPR put pressure on Nexus, but instead a nice conversation or inspirational message... something along the lines of "Hey, we have something real cool here and would love to have you next to us for the ride!" Now that would definitely put a grin on a Dev's face.

I did put a post on Nexus's forum prior to here and their response was that a Mac version will be supported for a future release, but no clue when. *sad face Mac user*

(edited to include a more precise response from the Nexus forums)
