Vote against NG in the Balance Council

+
Just play better. Then NG won't be a problem for you, and you'll be happier.

i have started playing again for a few weeks and had a lot of fun rediscovering this game. But the i ran into one NG deck after another and after 10 NG games i can say I'm done playing against this [...] faction. Its just so ANTI-fun and its always the same stupid decks. deleting gwent, this is the reason a game dies, anti-fun making it imposible for the opponent to play, as a core concept of a faction. It was realy fun, until NG came [...].

This needs to be fixed. Syana into Heymaeys on Summoner deploy. Then infuse with thunderbolt and play off the armor.. I cannot take credit for this but it did beat me on an almost pro level game. Lol. I almost soiled myself.

It absolutely amazes me that so many people are perfectly happy to play broken, binary garbage -- and then whine when an opponent blocks it, counters it, or plays it against them. With the huge number of utterly dominating cards and combos, Nilfgaard, by providing a hard stop to at least some, is the only thing keeping Gwent playable.

Case in point. That this was not hot fixed as soon as discovered -- which was before active support for the game ended -- is inexcusable. But guess which faction has the most counters? Nilfgaard is best at breaking up ridiculous combos (by either mill or clog), most able to control broken cards (Syanna) and best able to steal the excessive buffs (e.g. Beauclair, Rainfarn, Ivar).

Great advice. I might heed to it...
Or not :coolstory:

Here are my game stats last month. Show me yours ;-)
Thanks for proving NG isn't a real problem, then. I'm positive the few people left on here will take that into consideration when casting their votes.

Playing against NG is like playing GTA in a NPC. You'll be stolen, have your deck cards destroyed like Bingo. Even worse than GTA cuz it'll take not only your house but your graveyard as well. So, I simply decide to stop playing against NG. It could be a different game separated from Gwent. Most of the players already play with NG so enjoy yourself!
For me Gwent shouldn't allow SEIZING, Banishing cards on the deck or hand and the graveyard should not be reachable.

For me, so long as my opponent can manipulate cards in their graveyard, deck, and hand, I should be able to do so as well. Hiding points where opponents cannot reach destroys the game. If there exist ways to draw cards from the graveyard, to play cards from the deck (or to remove junk from the deck), ways to change cards in one's hand (boost), etc. the opposing player ought to be able to counter these plays -- that's called interactivity and is an important part of keeping the game strategic. My complaint is that factions other than Nilfgaard ought to have more tools to do this. If a player can play broken, OP nonsense, it is only just that it occasionally (or even better, frequently) backfire.

I guess we'll find out in two weeks when the results are out.
For now I see way too much of NG in pro rank... even new varieties start to come up =/

You forgot to mention Assimilate, almost as strong as ever. Status or soldiers are nothing compared :F

We need to focus on something specific to make an impact. Let's see how the voting goes on nauzicaa sergeant, slave driver and spotter - next month we'll pick other targets.

By the way, one day to vote :disapprove:

The BC needs 50 ranked wins to be able to vote for your favorites or disfavorites. My perception is that it causes more netdecking and apparently a lot of players using Nilfgaard, probably because it is the easiest faction to win with because of high versatility and some really good control cards.

This causes me to burn-out faster, because i am facing too much Nilfgaard. Sure, control is necessary against what one may perceive as binary decks, but then the only solution remaining is to play Nilfgaard so i've read in this thread? Weird solution innit? Or: Just 'git gud' i guess :)

Because of this I noticed i am having less fun on ladder and playing less Gwint. This causes me not to meet the requirements for the 'Balance Council' and so i cannot vote for my favorites and disfavorites.

I am merely at 38 wins atm (rank 2 and 36 loses, no draws) and only some hours left. I am just playing less and less.

My vote won't really matter of course, at least so i have noticed previous 'Balance Councils'.
For me there is too much of the same old cards being buffed and nerved over and over again.

Every game needs a good villain they say (i am paraphrasing here). I am all for a strong Nilfgaard in this regard, also everyone can play all factions.

Just the tedium of this back and forth while there are many cards left unplayable, yes I am looking at Milaen for sure, but there are many many others like Caravan Guard.

And yes, i am playing with decks like Syndicate Endrega meme which doesn't help my winrate, but i find it hard to play the same ish over and over, so i like some change, variety is the spice of life or so the saying goes.
