Wandering In the Dark Main Quest broken.

I got to a certain point in the main quest "Wandering in the Dark" and had to back out of the cave for supplies. Now i can't go back through the portals to advance the quest! I'm worried that I need this quest to complete the game and contemplating if I have to start over.

Which exactly moment? I remember, that there was a way to a certain point in the cave without going through portals.

Going through the portals should be possible no matter when you decided to back out and come back.

I have the exact same issue I went back and I can't open the portal anymore in Keira house. I'm stuked and there is nothing I can do. How did you go back?
