So during the quest all dialog options lead to me killing him. I looked it up online and you should be able to spare him, don't know if it's tied to talking with him at the beginning, which I'm sure I did.
Also I read that if you talk with him and choose the orange option that you have to go it also marks it that you didn't talk to him.
Anyone else experience this?
