was the snow and ice prophecy real

alright never read the books but was wondering if the snow and ice age was true or just someone playing nostradamous and everyone saying they are right. I am just curious if they said it was definetly gonna happen or not. I mean is it definetly gonna happen in the witcher world.

In the books it has been observed by some people that the climate in the Witcher's world is getting colder with each new year, so it might be a hint that the prophecy is true.

It is openly talked about in the last book, and yes, it is getting colder. New ice age is coming.

Jacques de Aldersberg believed in the prophecy but he went a bit crazy so he's not the most reliable source (see what I did there) of information regarding the prophecy.

We will have to wait and see if the devs use the prophecy in TW3.

Geralt scoffs when told as metaphors, then the elf he´s with explains it in scientifical terms and Geralt accepts that.
