Just engaged in a protracted car chase where I blew up enemy cars, rammed them, jumped bridges, caused intersection pile-ups, nearly died three times and finally hid in some hills behind Chicago until they gave up. Very much fun.
This after I camera-stealthed through a building, grabbed a code, failed to sneak up and activate the code, got in a nasty firefight, nearly died and blew people up with transformers.

Yeah, I'm having fun. More than I did in GTA 5, actually, which I also liked.

Want to know how much ass Ubisoft sucks?

-Changes to the default fog values
-Enabled bokeh DOF for the main cameras
-Stuttering Improvements
-E3 2012 Bloom
-Performance Improvements
-Enabled Headlight Shadows
-LoD Changes
-Reflection changes
-Added 3 new cameras to the game(closer, normal, further)
-Rain changes(High quality rain drops, properly reacting to light, etc)
-LensFlares(WIP)
-Lighting changes(TESTING AND WIP)
-Civilians density changes











Apparently all the shaders & effects that we saw in the E3 2012 trailer can still be found within the game files.

modders to the rescue. maybe they can help gta 5 on pc also become not terrible.

If Max Payne 3 is any indication, then GTA5 on PC will be awesome.

Ya. Because GTA4 was such an awesome port. Much better barometer, if you ask me. Same game series and all......

Oh god... GTA4...I mentioned MP3 because it uses the same engine and the same developer. They have probably learned their lesson...hopefully.

Don´t buy this. As stupid as one can get, I can´t picture a guy from Ubi (or any company) including this in the code...

So additional code has been found that indicates that this comment was actually left by a developer who was not happy being told to deliberately nerf the pc version to achieve console parity. My take is that Ubi was sold a bill of good by both Sony and MS about the power of next gen, as it is apparent that the code changes came very late in the game, most likely after it was determined that the consoles couldn't keep up with pc version.

Still, Ubisoft´s stupidity astounds me... Deliberately downgrading a version of their game? Instead of showcasing it and saying proudly: "Look what our devs have accomplished"?

It's called console parity. Can't have mid range pc's blowing away the shiny new next gen consoles, now can we? :whistle:

Boy, it's just a start of the generation and it already is this bad.
