I mostly enjoy female vocals in the W3 tracks, but I understand what you guys mean, and I agree with Kinley that there is too much focus on Percival. But I think that Skellige music will be very different from No mans land. Fields of Ard Skellige is completely different style and Im looking forward to hear more.

I like the intro, a little short but nice.

Fields of Ard Skellige is another example of a piece which was heard around 2013 (check from 3:05 onward):

Yeah thats what I meant. Also I remember listening to audio captured at the 2013 E3, where they showed Leshen demo. Music was different, without Percival influence you could say. So if you guys dont like No mans land music, Skellige part of the soundtrack got you covered.

I am sure the real Intro scene was This Cinematic + Killing Monsters CGI
But in the end they decided to cut it out and sell it as different cinematics to divide the hype. Bad decision.
Well that's what I want to believe because this one lacks of something...

I wouldn't be too worried if you don't like the Percival sound, it was already mentioned in another video or article that they are only involved with certain tracks in the game, not the entire soundtrack. Personally I think it's gonna result in some nice variation. But I agree that the vocals at the end of the trailer, when the logo appeared, were overdone.

Well I don't know, that particular piece you linked was made by Marcin Przybyłowicz, same guy that is leading the sound team now.

The main change that I see from then to now (a change that, I have to admit, do not like all that much as well) is them focusing way too much on Percival's sound. Instead of the band adding another layer of flavor to the already existing layers of what a Witcher game should sound like, they have become the main focus. I have to say that the wailing at the end of The Trail cinematic was just bad. The Witcher theme that I hold so close to my heart was just utterly ruined in my opinion.

Yeah, I don't personally think the Percival vocalists are very good.

These are beautiful:

What they did in this trailer, less so.

I think the music was good, just that the intro and ending were bad.

Personally I found Witcher 2 music rather boring and forgettable with the exception of 2 songs.

If this yelling will be in every track hell it's gonna be annoying
Percival is good but this is seriously too much. In gamepaly battle music was always with this vocals.

Guess i will just wait for mods to remove them or ee

The in-game music of the 35 min demo was better.

Okay, I see we're getting a bit carried away here. Let's try to keep the discussion focused on the trailer (and its music) and not so much on the game's overall soundtrack. The OST discussion can continue here: http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/21075-Witcher-3-music

In the minority here, as I thoroughly enjoyed the music and vocals in the cinematic and much preferred them to anything that is being advanced as subsititute, which to my ears sounds cliché as Waldorf Salad.

Keep it up Reds.

Late to the party, i just saw the new cgi trailer/opening/teaser whatever you wanna call it.
While I am not a fan of CGI trailers in general for games I think this one made a good job of introducing us to some characters and their traits.
Yennefer being a gorgeous woman in a dangerous situation that she handles competently - so if that army poses no problem - WHAT was she really running from ? :D
Geralt being his good old self tracking and investigating the aftermath.
It does not concentrate on his profession like tw1 did or the political problems arising in temeria but rather on an immediate "mystery/goal" so it sets the tone right imo.

And please, MORE WOMEN SCREAMING in trailers plz :D
(no joke, I love it)

I'm really suprised how so many people hate this trailer... maybe it is not as good as W2 intro, nontheless it's great. It's a story, introduction to a game. It is not a TRAILER literally! For me... I really enjoyed it.

Don't think anyone here hates the trailer - it's a good trailer - it's just not as good as previous intros :)

This.
Honestly... It could have been better. Many of us were expecting something greater after TW 1 and 2 intros. Even Rise of the White Wolf trailer had something special which TW 3 opening cinematic has not surpassed.

Maybe if Ciri was there it could have changed...
