The expansion also added contracts for playing Witchers and triggering Adrenaline. The Witcher card game definitely deserved to have the former, too.

(I still can't get over how sweet this new music is.)

NR Witchers definitely seems to be among the most fun to play decks added with this expansion.
For context, my opponent even resolved Cir: Dash on Red Coin during that game.

And I remember when people said Keldar is weak :). Griffin Witcher Adept is so good card and typically very difficult to deal quickly. He counters poison quite nicely. I run my variant with witcher trio. Griffin Witcher Mentor is great for hand-fixing so this deck rarely bricks. The question is how much removal and tutoring can be included.

So, on expansion launch day, i opened 100 kegs and shared here that i had bad luck and only got 4 legendaries.

Today, i opened 5 WotW kegs, got 3 legendaries, almost as much as i did with 100!

Somedays you're lucky, somedays you're not

From all the player kept stats I’ve seen, legendaries only spawn in about 5% of all kegs — your results were not that far below average. Three in 5 kegs is amazingly lucky.

Agreed, 4 Legendaries out of 100 kegs is basically average. Bad luck would be when I only opened Cosimo (not even a pick 1 of 3) from 60 kegs, and terrible luck would be that user, Wobbrrs, who only opened a single Legendary from 150 Way of the Witcher kegs. Opening 3 Legendaries from just 5 kegs sounds like a miracle.

And the worst is all that luck i had was "wasted on me", it would be better for a beginner stil needing most cards and that would be really happy with 3 new legendaries. Me, i already had all WotW cards, at least one of those was a premium i still didnt had.

When the devs talked about gifting on the last stream i got my hopes up but alas, it was only applied to real money purchases, so me and other veterans sittin on ton of resources cant go all "Santa's in town" and give away a ton and disrupt Gwent's MTX profits.

I have found griffin witchers unplayable with the current interface. I play on a mobile device, pc’s might be different.

First there is not enough time to remember what the cards do, check the board situation, choose cards to shuffle in and out of hand and to play the cards without without making errors due to a slow interface.

Then, half the time I have to check a box without any indication what the box does (eg discard a card, play a card, etc).

Half the time when I do tap a box, nothing happens; the other half, when I tap a box, it is so laggy that I think nothing happened.

Finally targeting also often doesn’t work. Rather than target, I get a red arch indicating an illegal target. I tap the card and target and nothing happens. Often I try three or four times to make it work. Normally that is livable— except when I am cut short on time because of fighting the interface on other actions.

I have played four games with a griffon witcher deck. On every one, I made at least one interface based misplay. So I am abandoning this archetype for something less frustrating.

As someone who hasn't played the game from the beginning (I've been playing since part way through the most recent season of the dragon so 3-4 months) it's really frustrating trying to play 'catch up' with all the legendary cards for the sets before this, let alone all the new stuff that makes such a difference to gameplay that you need it to win (and thus to advance any of the ways you get reward points). I've been playing at least enough every day to take advantage of my bonus crowns for my Journey and have paid for the extended Journey for this month and the last and still I haven't got enough reward points to keep up with the seasonal rewards as well as complete the existing reward books, let alone the new stuff. I genuinely think CDPR need to increase your chance of dropping epics and then legendaries as you level up in prestige. It's not enough to increase your rare drop chance, not when legendaries cost 800 scraps each. Either that or they need to halve the scrap cost of legendaries now there are so many cards in the game.

I joined Gwent in April as I recall - from that point on, it took me about 2 months to assembe at least 2 competitive decks. In about 6 months, I have everything I need - literally every legendary and epic that is needed. On top, now I'm sitting on 20k scraps. For context, I play approx 1-2 hours daily, sometimes less, sometimes more.

With this I would like to point out that Gwent has an amazing and most newcomer-friendly reward system. Anything more generous than this would be over the top in my opinion. Take your time, enjoy building your collection and avoid focusing on too many archetypes in the first months. Do some netdecking if you plan to go competitve, and choose 1-2 sets you like. Work your way towards these, max out the daily rested bonus - it will get you there.

Oh, and forget maxing out the seasonals AND the existing ones at the same time - that was never meant to be. If you start a season with 0 reward points, the reasonable aim is to max out the 3 seasonals and potentially something else along the way (like the new witcher trees for the free legendaries). This will speed up gradually too as you prestige up.

Please reduce the starting power of the Viy down to 6 (from 8) and reduce the amount of power it's deathwish gives it by 1 (down to 2).
Or just think of a new effect for the card, one that doesn't break the game preferably.

I've literally never seen this said at any time, about any faction, ever during the life of this game.

Some of the new cards of WotW I never experienced and, thus, I consider to be not competitive. Please find them below including my suggested rework

Archgriffin: To my mind way to vulnerable to tall removal
-> Probably a 7 body and 9 provision costs might fit better

Junod of Belhaven: Old Vabjorn is still not competitive. Especially at boost-heavy meta.
-> Would suggest to reduce his provisions to 8

Phooca
-> Better make her 2 body + 4 armour for 4 provisions. Then she might take some advantage from opponent boost

Succubus
-> Would reduce her to 4 provisions.

Making a Bomb
-> Complete junk to my mind. Maybe add: Deathwish: Repeat the ability one last time.

Not a junk card at all. It has it's stable 2/2 place in the Immunity PS SC build.
Not universal for all deck types, but that might not be a serious flaw for a 4 prov card after all.

They should rework Rayla and Arnaghad. Seem good in theory but in my games they are just bad. Especially Arnaghad.

I actually tried to build a deck around/ involving succubus and the most difficult thing to deal with was it receiving doomed until adrenalin 3. Kind of tough to make good use of it that way.

Although many would put you on a pyre for the Arnaghad part, I completely agree about Fallen Rayla.
That card just seems to be one of the few bad designs in this expansion next to many brilliant ideas.

- First, she is - as mentioned previously - somewhat anti-synergistic with her own leader, Off the Books. To be precise, that is probably the worst leader you can use with her.
- Her whole concept of buffing herself is very boring. Another skyscraper tall punish target - similar to Kolgrim in NG, but oh so much more situational (and 3 provisions higher).

I'd welcome a rework with her that is more offensive in nature:

Fallen Rayla
12 provisions
6 power
Veil
Every time a Tribute is used, damage a random enemy unit by 2.
Adrenaline 2: every time a tribute is used, split the Tribute's cost as damage randomly between all enemy units
