Weapon Implants

We all know we can have weapon implants in our arms, similar to the blades that the woman in the trailer has. What other implants do you think we should be able to have?

For instance do you think female characters should be able to have machine gun jubblies like the fembots in Austin Powers?

Are ALL of these in Cyberpunk 2077?

I just can't see Mr. Stud making it into a computer game. . .

Mr. Stud? Quite likely.

CDPR makes Games For Grownups.

But all of them? No, not likely.

Those are the implants from Cyberpunk 2020, the PnP RPG that CDPR plays and is bringing to digital life as Cyberpunk 2077.

Yes, I know that they are from Cyberpunk 2020. And I know that CD PRojekt makes games for grown ups, even though I have not yet played them, the sex scenes from The Witcher series have gained quite a reputation. Still, I think Mr. Stud might be a bit much even for them, and I don't see a female equivalent for it on the list either.

I thought they were making a PnP version of Cyberpunk 2077 ( an update to cyberpunk 2020) to be released around the same time as the game. Is this correct? If so, then most of these might be replaced by the newer version of the game.

Nothing wrong with a bit of cyberpenis.

I expect to see lots of cyberware, the majority of all the stuff from 2020 in fact. Much if it won't need to.be visually represented which makes it easier. I also expect new stuff.

At the announcement presentations back in 2012 they made a big thing about the huge amounts of gear and gadgets we will get. I'm hopeful.

Even if there is no core gameplay mechanic for having a Mr Stud it should be included, even if only as an injoke. I think it could even have a say in our roles in romance and things like that, maybe?

Playing Shadowrun Hong Kong it was great to see the monomolecular whip. I had it installed in my female troll Woliu, even if it was a weapon whose damage didn't scale with strength. I've wanted that since Johnny Mnemonic. Still, the visual effects for it weren't spectacular in SRHK. I hope it looks as good as in JM or Appleseed the Beginning in Cyberpunk 2077. It's such an iconic cyberpunk weapon it would be an error not to include it.

As for low end weapons that I think should be available, you should not only have long Wolverine claws for slicing and dicing, but also razor nails like Molly's which should have very short range and damage, but could prove useful if you could for example had enemies without things like pain editors or drugs to twist in pain when you scratch their faces or something. One man army Solos are cool and all, but I think you should be able to play a razorgirl or similar.

I recall the villain, Lady Deathstrike, that Wolverinve fought in the second X-Men movie. She had claws coming out of her fingertips instead of her knuckles. If given a choice I would take the nails. Ido not know if Molly had the same thing or not, because I do not know much about X-men beyond the movies.

I would assume that being an implant it would be a mid-high end weapon depending on the quality of the metal you get. Low end weapons I believe would be things like knives or handguns that you can get nowadays.

Wolverine had the 2020 equivelant of 'Wolvers' while Deathstrike would have had 'Scratchers'. And who says the only option should be metal? Why not ploymer blends and/or ceramics to beat metal detectors?

Actually, Lady Deathstrike had Rippers, not Scratchers. Scratchers are pretty much nothing but sharpened fingernails. Rippers actually extend out from the nails several inches and do much more damage, just not as much as Wolvers.

I've been tolf that I could have been quite a sadistic bastard. However, I did scare the shit out of a member of the airport security staff at Heathrow when I was 12;

I asked him how hard it would be to detect a knife made from ceramics.
He said that the knife wouldn't be very useful.
I pointed out that ceramics can be almost as sahrp as glass, and that if you made it right, you could have channels in the blade to increase the speed of bleeding out, and if you designed the knife to snap off it would keep the wound open longer, increasing the chances of bleeding out.

Of course that was about 20 years ago. He just looked at me like I was Hannibal Lecter. If I said that now I would be banged up for the weekend and questioned until I told them where the rebel base is.

My mom was not happy though.
