Who is the shadow swordsman on the frontpage?

Yennefer was quite obvious, but the new shadow standing between Ciri and Geralt seems more mysterious. Thoughts on who he might be?

Vesemir is most people's guess. That would be fine. Letho say some. Well if not Vesemir, and some say Letho, I say let it be Berengar! ^_^

It's of course Vesemir. You can see his typcial hair on the left of his neck below the ear. It's not a bald man so it's not Dijstra. And Letho could be dead anyway.

Letho lives!?

So I just stopped by this site today and saw on the front page a silhouette of a hulky bald male character next to Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer that looks an awful lot like Letho. What do you guys think? I'm sure CD Projekt Red could come up with an explanation as to how he survived if you chose to kill him in The Witcher 2. Geralt's had many near death experiences in the books and game; Those elixirs are pretty profound. Discuss...

I think he'll show up if you spared him. There's a pretty muscular looking WItcher in the one trailer. I don't really think Geralt would have killed him after what just had happened.

I mean, so far from what I've read in my current book Geralt spares the Nilfgaardian who took ciri from Cintra multiple times

I killed Letho. The second he pulled that cheap shit on me in act one he was a dead man. It was a most satisfying kill, he had strength, power and weight. But Geralt had the mighty dodgeroll and kicked his ass.

I expect Letho to stay dead if he was killed in the witcher 3. But for the people that let him live he should be in the game, that would be cool.

LOL

Gerakt would've done the same to restore witcher school, so I spared him. Ok maybe not geralt but others witchers of wolf school, yes.
Also geralt just made a cut on him in the fight,he could've survived after all

Also a big tag with caps logs written
would be a good idea to put on the title of this thread

It's just speculation. I'm not sure why anyone would be browsing forum about a sequel to a game they haven't finished yet. Pretty stupid thing to do

A friend who...
...murdered two monarchs, three battalions of scoia'tael, and a sorceress (Sile.) Not to mention he kidnapped your girlfriend, murdered an innocent man (Cedric), and let you take blame for one of the assassinations. And when you finally encounter him at the end of Chapter 3 he has the nerve to mock you for your morals.

Letho violated the very reason why Witchers exist. He chose to spread Chaos rather than fght t it. And for what? So the emperor can rebuild his Witcher school? The emperor of Nilfguaard will use the new Witchers as tools of war the way he used Letho.

I didn't kill Letho because I only believe in killing to protect or in self-defense. But if given the chance in The WItcher 3 I will happily put a sword through his ass.

Letho compromised himself in every way. And for what? So the emperor can rebuild his Witcher school? The emperor of Nilfguaard will only use the new Witchers as tools of war the way he used Letho. Scoia'tel are just pawns of Nilfgaard used to cause terror behind the lines while Nilfgaard would invade. Who cares how many of them die, they're just terrorists.

Letho never wanted Geralt to take the blame. Geralt played soldier and was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He shouldn't have gotten involved with Foltest as deep as he did. You're really the one who killed Sile. She yells at you to remove the diamond and you obviously choose not to. In my game he saved Triss so I think I owe him for that. He also spared your life in that one fight and also helped you regain your memory.

I don't think Geralt would kill Letho in reality especially not after learning what you do just before you confront him. I drink some Vodka with him and left him go. Nothing to gain from killing him and nothing to lose. Letho didn't want a fight and neither did I and I don't think Geralt would want one either.

What the people he murdered did doesn't change the fact that it's still murder. If that was true, people would be killing each other in the streets all the time and law enforcement would be totally okay with it.

Witchers exist to fight chaos, and instead Letho spread chaos. That's utimately the reason why I cannot allow Letho to start his own Witcher school. But, like I said, I couldn't justify killing him when he wasn't putting anyone in danger. So, for now, Letho lives... He might not fare so lucky if I encounter him again.
