Week Two Hunting the Elusive Console Fix

I have been scouring these forums since I loaded into the game naked the night of patch 1.10. Obviously the Devs aren't ready to say anything useful or helpful about the matter other than "soon". I would just like to gather everybody's opinions about the the situation. How much longer do you think it will be before they get the fix too us and what is your opinion on the matter. Personally, I have other games I will be playing soon so my time will be taken away from this one. This bothers me because I was really wanting to explore all the new things that came with hearts of stone before that happens. I am a college student and I only have so much time I can devote to gaming.

Yeah, a hotfix for a lot of the stuff 1.10 is overdue.

I think it's clear that the problem and the fix aren't major or difficult. The patch dropped to PC very quickly, and the stuff still works in the regular non-NG+ game. This is someone not dotting an i or crossing a t.

The problem is in whatever is going on in certification. This is a black box that devs and console makers won't talk about. My guess is that it is expensive and so consoles don't get updates because companies don't want to pay. Skellige's Most Wanted was also a quick fix on PC, but never made it to console until the big patch (I hear it's still broken?). There are other games that get pretty regular updates (Destiny is always getting updates), others that get patched on the PC platform, but take forever on the console. My guess: if it's a pretty straightforward fix -- if it takes a week - it's probably the console maker and their certification process. If it takes more than that it is probably the developer.

I'm the same. I can't understand why the developers don't at least acknowledge the problems 1.10 bought to XBOX NG saves at the very least. Saying a fix is in the near future would be even better.

Like I said this will be week two if it isn't fixed this week. Next week is the start of a lot of big titles dropping with. Was really hoping I could have devoted this past week and this week to nothing but the Witcher, however that doesn't look like it is going to happen.

I don't know why this got moved to tech support. The post was just meant to be a discussion.

I couldn't find the specific threads that I had been on. Marcin responded to this one though. http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/59800-CDPR-You-know-Something-You-aren-t-Clueless?p=1940778#post1940778
