You and I are exactly the same age.
and there`s so much about the forum that i don`t understand how to do but your never to old to learn something new (right?)

You are definitely not too old to learn! In the last couple of years, I've learned how to use Djinni to make new adventures for The Witcher, so I know you can learn anything you want to.

Welcome, Stomphoof! I hope you'll enjoy the game. If you should happen to get stuck at any point, there's a lot of help to be found in our Story & Quests section.

I'm glad to see that people from my country are finally finding this marvelous game! I think it's the best RPG ever made, and everybody should know about it.

Hi, my name's Naomi. Just bought The Witcher. Have been playing the Elderscrolls games and more recently Dragon Age (big fan of these games). Have seen The Witcher on Amazon a few times and thought "ök, give it a go". Bought the ''normal'' version and then found the ''enhanced''. Got that and just installed. Looking forward to playing it as I'm an avid RPGer.I'm a newby on the forums so please do not take offense as I'm very straightforward when asking questions and do not mean to offend in any way. Love messing about with mods and extensions (have actually had a go at modding for myself on Oblivion, loved it, still trying to get my head round the Dragon Age toolset). Looking forward to getting to know you all.I'm a wife, mother, daughter and sister. Also carer to a terminally ill husband so gaming is my ''escapism''.Naomi

Thank you for your warm welcome. Looking forward to playing the game (if I can sort out registration and patching problems that is). Read a great deal about the game so far and that's what prompted me to buy it. From the forums here it is very immersive (which is what I love about DA:O) I hope the same is true with the Witcher. I love developing characters and often play through as a good guy then again with a bad guy to see the differences. Also playing through a number of times I always find things I missed before.Like I said hope this will be as good as everyone says. Looking forward to sharing my experiencesNaomi

I hope you'll like it. Personally, I never played DA and never read any good thing about it. Therefore, never thought of playing it. From what I've been getting from players from both games Witcher is by far the better one. Witcher has an original story and protagonist is a person not a generic hero like other claiming-to-be RPG's. Also, it has a story much deeper than any other game has.

Hi naomis8329, welcome to our forums :)If you like to develope your chars you will also like the sequel of the game.
The development team feels that not all RPG fans like combat. They've entered into the game to experience playing a role, and by taking on that role being a key part of a story is the real draw for them.

Hello everyone,My name is Mark and I am 21, and I'm from England in the UK. I love playing computer games, listening to Metal, Industrial and Gothic mainly and I also enjoy watching/playing various sports.I have always been a big gamer, but I've more been into playing consoles rather than PC gaming, this was mainly due to having a poor spec PC for a long time. I recently purchased a top spec machine and have been looking at PC games but never got round to buying one. So I went out last night and popped into Game, as I was looking through I thought I would have a look at PC games again and see if anything takes my fancy. The Platinum Whitcher Enhanced Edition. I've always wanted a game like this and now I finally had a good enough machine I decided to pick it up. Only cost me £20 too, and I must say, so far this has to be one of the best games I have ever played.I am not that far into it yet, but I'm enjoying it.One question I do have, is, I have been looking around and noticed that some of the nudity and gore has been censored? How do I know if the version I have bought is censored or not? Anyone from the UK who has bought the same edition able to shed any light?I look forward to chatting with you all.Mark

Hi Mark. Welcome to the Witcher community. I believe The Platinum Edition has no censorship at all and have the latest patch. I need someone to confirm this though. Have good time with the Witcher :)
