OK, can we have one thread that doesn't include Bioware? You're on Witcher boards, what do you think, which game people here prefer? lol

Hello to all the lovely Xbox players, I can't wait to have awesome discussions with you once EE hits the shelves :D This spring shall be glorious!

I gave it to my brother, who has a PC that actually can run the game on highest settings (everything maxed out). But the little bastard hasn't even played past the prologue yet. He says The Witcher doesn't really appeal to him. ... Yeah, I don't understand him either... It seems to be the fantasy elements that turn him off. I mean, he loves Mass Effect, Fallout and Deus Ex, but somehow he doesn't like Dragon Age, Skyrim and The Witcher.

You can convince your brother when you play the game on the xbox. You just have to make comments how much you like this and that or "Have you ever seen sth. like this?", etc. The better you perfom it, the better are the chances he gets the desire to try the game
And... moreover I really would like to hear players' opinion who played the game on both plattforms.

Hi everyone!

My name is Raz, I like RPGs, gaming and fantasy among many other things! I have not been playing TW2 for long (my fist foray into the world of Geralt!) and have The Last Wish on order. Can't wait to read it when it finally arrives!

If someone hits +1 on one of your posts your reputation goes up by one, and if someone hits -1 on one of your posts it goes down by one.

The whole thing is arbitrary, honestly. Best to not worry about it.

Hi, my name is Gabriel, i'm 18 years old going on 19, i'm 6'1 and 169 lb.. i've been playing games for a very long time, some of my favorite (and in some cases, first) titles include half-life, soldier of fortune, heretic 2, ff9, ff8, sacrifice, gothic, gothic 2, darkened skyes, american mcgee's alice, alice: madness returns, Deus ex: human revolution, FEAR, Skyrim, diablo 2, giants: citizen kabuto, and tons more.. the witcher and the witcher 2 have earned their spots on this list too of course, I know even in a few years to come I'm going to get the urge to replay both of these games like I do with the games listed above..

I also like creative writing, art, nature, and history... and I listen to black metal, industrial/aggrotech/EBM, ambient/dark ambient, some dubstep/dnb..

and I'm happy to be a member of a community who enjoys such a fantastic series... I must also say that CDPR is an extremely good company, one that actually cares about their customers and puts time and effort into actually putting out a good product as opposed to some money hungry companies out there today *cough* activison *cough*

it's nice to meet you all!

Hi NocturnalEinherjar

welcome to this forum!

I'm glad to see a comrade of American McGee's Alice series
And even surprized that a your gamer of your age has already played so many "oldies" like Gothic and Diablo2, most familiar to haggies like me LOL

But clearly you have some taste in choosing good games. Very glad to have such a member in the community, hope you enjoy your time here! If you want to talk a bit more about yourself, you can visit us in the local inn and have a drink (since you're under 21, just milk and raspberry juice for you - and for me either, since I'm no-alkho)

Just picked up the game today, Hi everybody! I don't know if I'm going to be any good at this game. My big old hands are having problems with the paddle and all the different buttons to push. I hope it's just a learning curve I have to catch up on. The game looks great, the combat is good (complicated to me but good). Looking forward to getting to know the community.

Well, well. I have posted few times already, but just had a feeling (mayhaps it´s the J.P Chenet) that I just had to post here also. So greeting fellow forum members. It was years ago when W1 game out and all the reviews and community talk got me excited about the franchise. Back then I had crappy laptop and couldn´t play the game, but that thing finally changed...

About 1.5 years ago I finally bought W1 EE from GOG, played around 30 hours or so AND loved every moment. Too bad that my "new" used PC still ain´t the best possible and my gaming hours went to vain... Luckily W2 EE was realeased for 360 and at least I could enjoy part II with all my heart. All I can say is that CDPR is one of the best companies around and it seems that the members ain´t too shady either ;) So lets talk about gamez and stuff.. So far I have felt very welcomed here so BIG thanks! Cheers from Finland to CDPR and to fellow forum members..

Thanks! Played a bit more today! I am getting embarrassed at how Oblivious I am! I walked around trying to figure out how to "Unlock" the gates to get into the Castle... when if I had moved over just a schoshe (Sp?) I'd have saved 2 hours and just climbed the vines on the wall!

My other moment was escaping the dungeon! I P&Med for :40 cause I didn't have a weapon to beat up the guards! Crumby time trying to knock them out bare fisted before getting killed! and then after I Went back to get the captured prince the second time... I find the club laying on the floor!

Other than that I'm learning how to work the controller a bit better, and the game is mostly fun otherwise

And yes this forum may well be the second most friendly one I have been on in years. 2nd only because I've been a member of a one for 10 years and have a soft spot for it

I like smileys!

Thanks, very kind.
I hit a situation that kinda cheezed me off.
I accidently drew my sword and was unable to get it put away quickly enough and had to kill a guard. I then had another group of guards inform me I had to pay out 200 gold (which I don't have) took option 2... Cut scene, Me becoming a pin cushion!

That's Harsh! Thankfully I don't think I'll loose to much play, but... Dude Harsh!
