I think we need to let bygones be bygones on the forum; it's not a good place for legal admonitions for things that happened long ago. Every one of us has done things that are at least regrettable when admitted in front of strangers, and it's more important that we grow and learn by these experiences.

I agree. I have done some regretful things in life as well.

Anyway, what's the first console you guys have ever played? (If any)

I started out with the atari 2600. It was very cheap back in 1992.

Same here, although I didn't own it, I was playing it at my friends house.

My first gaming equipment ever was the one and only, Amiga 500+. But it wasn't really a console, was it? :)

I heard about it dying when I owned my ps1. I was happy I went with playstation at that time. Then went to ps2 and I am sticking with it. I also owned a sega master system/genesis (I think they are the same thing), a Commodore 64 (loved that thing!) and an Atari XE. All three bought from flea markets. =P

Well...my first console was a chinese Nintendo rip-off. I don't know how popular that was in other countries, but in Hungary there were a lot of them. It looked like a real Nintendo, but it used a yellow cassette. The console itself was a piece of shit. The controllers worked for a month maybe, and then we always had to buy a new one.

The games were some kind of pirated versions of the originals.

Just look at them, it's hilarious:

Contra with ducks

Jackie Chan kung fu with Mario

The worst part is, I enjoyed these games. Probably because I was a little child back then.

After the Nintendo rip-off, I got my PS1, and a few years later my PC.

If I remember correctly, my first console was a Sega Mega Drive back in 1997. I loved playing games after school. :) Oh, the good ol’ days…

Edit: Üdv ATiBotka! :D Jó látni, hogy mások is fellátogatnak a fórumra kicsiny hazánkból. :)

Actually I believe if you're 18+ and have sex with someone below 18, if she could accuse you. Even if she is 17 and you're 18. Taking nude pictures of her is actually considered child porn according to the law. There is a difference though between 16/17 and under 16.
Fornication against her will will net you 6 years in prison. Being a bystander, 4 years. Under 16 it's even 8 years.

Yes I just looked it up out of curiousity. 12 and 19 is pretty awful in society's eyes. It's also pretty awful in my books. One may seem mature for someone's age, but still carry the mind of a 12 year old. Here I was thinking 14 and 18 was bad though there was no actual 'sex' involved in my case. Your case is a bit shocking but I'm not freaked out.

That's not how it works in The Netherlands, though you're right, if she felt like dragging me to court for whatever reason I would have been pretty fucked. I damn well realize that now, but I never really thought about it back then. While she was very mature for her age, I was actually rather immature for my age. I was 19, but I felt and behaved like a 16 years old.

As for consoles: Do handhelds count? My first was a Gameboy Classic. Then in the same year I got a SNES from my parents for christmas. I was 7 years old.

But isn't this discussion a bit off-topic? I know the previous discussion was also off-topic, but yeah, just saying...

I'd say "first gaming console/device" is less off topic. Especially if we add pictures, heh.

I was never a console person but I used to play the SNES at people's houses. My first computer was a 486 DX2 with 4 MB of RAM soon upgraded to 8 (for a ridiculous amount of money), and a 1 MB video card. Still remember playing games like Prince of Persia, Comanche, Mortal Kombat II, and the eternal LucasArts adventure games like Indiana Jones & the Fate of Atlantis and The Day of the Tentacle.

Ouch, I can already imagine that.

"Hi mom, this is my girlfriend".

Your what?!

"I meant my girlfriend's mother" *cough*

Yeah it was one of the more odd moments of my life.

As for LucOs.

We all have made mistakes, some big and some small. While that was wrong I shant cast the first stone. And that was pretty brave for you to say my friend.

As for consoles: Either Atari 2600 or NES. Can't remember which happened first.

abi got a tattoo (yes bad quality, it's very hard to take a picture of your own side so it was wobbling)

Looks nice :) It is a rather revealing picture though; I wish people were a bit more careful with what they put online, even to "friendly" places like this. One never know when an unfortunate picture may bite one in the ass further down the line.

Sorry for such a negative post to a nice picture of a beautiful tattoo.

Like the Superman feature. Does that help? :D

I suppose you are Abi?

That's pretty cool. Especially because it doesn't represent any particular thing you might stop liking, like a band logo or a religious symbol.

Better now? And the superman trousers are my PJs :p

(Yes I am Abi) And ay, I got a feather because as stupid as it sounds, I always used to daydream about being a bird and the freedom of a bird with a human brain :p/>/>

That's cute, and I think it's something most of us have dreamt about, particularly as kids. Searing to the heavens and fly off to some different location for whichever reason. It's also confirmation that it was indeed birds next to the feather. I was a little unsure at first.

Don't have any tattoos myself, but if I were to have one, it would be something along those lines I suppose. Artistic or "neutral", and not a band logo or something (although my love for a certain band is pretty strong).

Good to see a different location as well, as mundane as that sounds. Seesd like every woman and her dog(?) has a tattoo just above the buttcrack.

Aye, most people seem to 'grow out' of the thought by 18 though :p And yes, the photo quality isn't great - it's surprisingly hard to take a photo of your own side :p

Yeah, as nice as some band logos are if you're a big fan, I'd always be hesitant :p

haha 'tramp-stamp', we call it...I would never get one there.

It's not THAT revealing. While I agree with your statement, I see honestly nothing wrong with Abi's picture.

Anyway, nice (and original!) tattoo Abi!

I designed several tattoos myself, including some tattoos for myself, but I have yet to actually get any of my tattoos. My body is still an empty canvas so far. ;)

I would have gotten a tattoo a long time ago, but for some reason I can't make up my mind about stupid little details such as where to get the tattoo (on my body), where to get the tattoo (which tattoo shop) and what size the tattoo should be. Seriously, I've been thinking about a tattoo since I was 18 years old, I'm 24 years old now and I still haven't got one. :p

Maybe I should just cut the crap and get it over with, instead of postponing it more and more. After all, I do want the tattoo(s) for sure, it's just the size and location that I'm unsure about.

It's not THAT revealing, true, it was more intended as a warning for the future to be honest, and a more general one, not just for her. Many young girls (13-16 for example) put 'bragging' pictures of themselves up on sites like Facebook, without understanding the possible consequences. Coupled with poor privacy settings (like a fully public profile), this is highly inadvisable. You never know where those picture CAN end up, or who may see them.

In terms of facebook, it's well worth knowing that any picture you upload there is the properly of Facebook, and they can use it for whatever they fancy, including advertising. The chance of that happening probably isn't very high, but it can happen, and it has. I just wish people were a bit more careful, in general.

I dreamed to be an eagle precisely to hunt down day dreaming birds.

on a serious note, I am considering getting a tattoo. Anyone who knows me in person would be shocked, as I give the impression I am very strict and proper (lol they have no idea).
