I am posting here because I am new and cannot post elsewhere. I did not find my particular question answered anywhere, and yes, I used search.
My question is this: Do I get both the physical and digital items with both the physical and digital editions of the game?
I know this sounds like a stupid question, but please bear with me. The description on
Gamestop.com and
Amazon.com both say the same thing for both the physical and digital editions of the game.
"Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character's cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.
Become a cyberpunk, an urban mercenary equipped with cybernetic enhancements and build your legend on the streets of Night City.
Enter the massive open world of Night City, a megalopolis that sets new standards in terms of visuals, complexity and depth.
Take the riskiest job of your life and go after a prototype implant that is the key to immortality.
The game comes with the following physical items:
- Case with game discs
- World Compendium detailing the game’s setting and lore
- Postcards from Night City
- Map of Night City
- Stickers
Digital goodies included:
- Game soundtrack
- Art booklet featuring a selection of art from the game
- Cyberpunk 2020 sourcebook
- Wallpapers for desktop and mobile"
Meanwhile, the Xbox Store on the console and
Microsoft.com descriptions do not mention the physical items or the digital items.
Normally one would assume you get the digital items with the digital game and the physical items with the physical game. But the fact that both editions have identical information, on more than one store (if it was only one store I could assume it was their error), I have to question it. Furthermore, even the image on
the official site depicts both the physical items and digital items regardless of which edition you have selected.
Also, I must question whether the physical edition comes with the digital items. Because if it does there would be no reason at all to buy the digital edition unless you truly hated physical editions and MUST have everything purely digital.
Physical Edition = all the items AND save $10.
Digital Edition = JUST the digital items; save $0.
See my point?
Hopefully, a CDPR team member will answer this.
