Well, thank goodness she's not in either of those cities. However, it is rather distressing the sort of behaviours large-city environments conduce in people. . . .

Moscow would be much worse. But I thought she's in Yaroslavl. Old college town 250 km from Moscow.

I just usually trying to step aside and say "Hey, what are you doing" and all that.

Take a photo of his face. This is both threatening to him visually and also useful if he tries anything else you have photographic evidence to give to the police. This is also very helpful if the harasser is wearing some kind of job-identifying uniform in which case you can send the photo to his employers and he can lose his job.

I wouldn't recommend telling him this directly, because it could endanger you further-- although if you're in a public space like public transport it's probably okay to say "thanks, mate, I've got evidence you're a fucking numpty." You can also give the photo to the transport authorities because they'll probably be keeping their eyes out for offenders. But yeah, saying nothing and letting the action speak usually dissuades them.

I'm visiting Moscow very often (so @CostinRaz is right too) and this happened to me only there. And I should say, that there's awful lot of lustful immigrants from Caucasus...

hmm gropy men in public places, there are a lot of ways to deal with them. Depends at large of where you are what circumstances and culture.

-high heels are nice, specially in summer step on his foot.
-yelling can be effective though it depends where you are and how other people react.
-humor, but again not applicable in every culture.

Personally I am a fan of slapping them in the face with an open hand. Highly effective against teenagers and in places where some sort of male honor is important. It causes a chock and embarrassment situation. Avoid hitting the ear though! However only mediocre results against beards, clean shaven makes a better sound.

I hope your apparent expertise on the matter of slapping guys is not entirely the result of public groping.

Still though that must be a lot of slaps. :D

Anyway, I've seen guys groping girls in public. And whenever the girl is not really into it, it is obvious to others that the guy is an idiot. Or the guys, depending on his friends' reaction. They can feel the awkwardness too. They just hide it behind jokes.

I don't know, yelling seems kind of over the top. Too much humiliation, especially if you are witty enough. And there's the chance that they will laugh at your face. A slap is just enough. Makes the woman look like a badass that takes no shit from others. Which can actually be educative to the "perpetrators".

HA look at that, teachers of the past were right. Slapping and education go together. :p

never been groped, but there's a lot of sexual harassment in my culture because of the whole macho-man thing we have going on. Like construction workers can lose their jobs if they whistle at someone, but it doesn't really stop them. so there's a sort of make do system of photographing the culprit and threatening to send it to their boss. Also I don't recommend slapping anyone unless they're making moves that could get much worse -- if it's just groping and you're sure photographing or speaking loudly will deter them, that's enough. Move away and make a lot of loud aggressive sounds, move near people. If you get into a situation in which you ought to slap someone -- back hand is better: 1) your knuckles hurt a lot more and any jewellery you might have on your fingers will be a bonus, 2) men don't expect to be back handed by women. of course, if you're at that point, i'd suggest running.

quality experience i had, i tend to share the weirder ones on facebook, here's a pretty weird one:

baller = great, tren = train, urine stained = bogan-related (e.g. urine stained building)

Same, though probably even less clothed than that. I have already warned work, loved ones, and friends that I am going to be totally unreachable for the first 3 days after launch, with the 4 after that going to be highly subject to be the same before I return to responsibility. May be the first all-nighters I've pulled in a while. I'll admit it, I am going to binge the hell out of my first playthrough, then take it nice and slow the second time.

Just to raise another dimension of caution, TemerianGirl mentioned an incident that happened in Moscow. Moscow chavs (gopniki) tend to move about in gangs and are dangerous if confronted. Getting away or raising the aid of a policeman should be your first options; retaliation could lead to much worse.

Huh you're calculating way too short.
devs say 200 hours. me calculates 140 Hours first run additional 120 hours second run at approximately 16 hours a day that makes 16.25 days. Leaves me 8 hours for food, sleep and hygiene per day.

So the plan is:
May18: buy food drinks, extra coffee.
may18/19 download game: prepare food and freeze in portions, move to cabin in the woods for vacation.
1 Pulled pork about 4KG: lasts 5-6 days
Spaghetti sauce cooked and frozen in following setup: 3 days sauce with noodles, 3 portions lasagna.
1 giant pot of chili con carne frozen in portions for easy thawing and eating. lasts approximately 4 days.
Left-over ingredients -> pizza... 2-3 days.

So even if I miscalculated between dev times and my assumed it's much less anyway times I have about 2-3 days more of food. after that... ah well.

Yeah well from what I hear of Moscow police you're better off joining the Bratva then asking them for help. Though that could be politically-biased old media.
