Any beer's good as long as it's coldI have beer. What do you want?
Some days are just like that...Serve yourself. I buy it.
Dammit. A very bad day today... I'm generous...
Has this anything to do with UK? Are your cards much different than ours here in germany?Do any of my fellow UK and Ireland users know of a good Nvidia graphics card I could buy for around £300?

Otherwise I would suggest a 970, or at least a 960.

Yes, I do. Except the Titan X the best card on the market atm. (Until 980 Ti launches in June I guess)No our cards are the same as yours I was just talking about prices in our currency since we don't use the Euro. I've been hearing a lot about the GTX 980 as well, I wonder if anyone knows anything about that?
Not a UK/Ireland user but the best nvidia card you can have for 300 quid right now is the GTX 970.I don't know if this can be classed as off-topic, but I'll ask it anyway: Do any of my fellow UK and Ireland users know of a good Nvidia graphics card I could buy for around £300? AMD's laziness at updating their software is starting to piss me off and I'm thinking of switching to the other side. Any good upgrades I can get to replace my old HD 6950?
Let's drink up.I wouldn't say no to good old drawven beer, so let's start with this.

Can't see a reason why it would have.Yeah I seem to be seeing that everywhere, I just hope it will have no problem slotting into my MSI P67A-GD53 motherboard...
IIRC Al has a pretty great case. Should not be a problem.Don't see why you would have a problem. As long as your case has enough clearance.
I hope that too. Maybe by turning down some settings. On the Nvidia page it is stated that we could do uber/ulra without gameworks which would be a pity imo.But anyways, GTX 970 should be able to run the game with ultra settings in 1080p. With a little tweaking, maybe even with nvidia hairworks enabled.

What's your PSU btw? Just to make sure it can handle the card.
I really can't see why we shouldn't. There isn't that much difference between 970&980 performance wise. I would be surprised for example if an overclocked 970 couldn't handle ultra with hairworks if a 980 can..I hope that too. Maybe by turning down some settings. Well, mine isn't oc'ed and I don't plan to. What I surely will do is turning off motion blur and DOF and turning down shadows as that's something I never really cared for.I really can't see why we shouldn't. Could you open your case and take a look? Or take a picture of the PSU and post it here?I'm looking on Amazon for the best price now. As for my power supply, I don't know what make it is, though I did spend something like £100 on it.

Do not buy the GPU until you know for certain that your PSU can handle it. If you bought it for 100 quid it probably is good enough though. Maxwell cards are super efficient.
Whoops. That's a 200W card. So if your system runs it, it should have no problem with the 970.Any good upgrades I can get to replace my old HD 6950?
