Sigh my parents sent me a photo of my Collector's Edition.... in my bedroom 200 miles away. </3

Now I have to endure the next 2 weeks not being able to play, and hoping I don't see any spoilers x__x I've already had to abandon tumblr and reddit, and mute half the people I follow on twitter. Argh.

How's your frame rate? On my current card I'm getting 26-31 FPS. That'll probably change once I get my new GTX 970 installed.

As I said, I didn't measure it. But I'm comfortable with how it works. Oh, and I didn't mention it but shadows are on high, not ultra.

Decided to see how much stuff I needed to disable to get The Witcher 3 running smooth 60fps @ 3440x1440. After tweaking my settings thanks to the awesome tweak guide in the tech support forums and disabling stuff like Nvidia streamer service which resulted into better frame rates, I managed to run the game at fairly solid 60fps with hairworks, AA & my ini tweaks disabled and dropping shadow quality down a bit. Otherwise using highest settings.

I do miss hairworks a bit but this more than makes up for it I think:

You still need a couple of Titan Xs to play the game maxed out at this resolution but if you're willing to make some visual sacrifices you'll probably have similar performance that I have. Although think people like GuyNwah and sidspyker might know better.

I think I know that feeling, but you can say you have no other chance, you have to wait and be strong. I for myself have the game already here. But I will not play. I... just.. need... to be strong ._.
And yeah, I also unfollowed some sites and people, also I am very careful at reddit. Spoiler would be the one thing that could ruin much of my anticipation.

@eskiMoe: Thanks for that info! So you have 2x 970 SLI. And are you using Hairworks now there or not? I think you contradicted yourself a bit in your post.
If it was disables, how much would the performance be for you on Ultra WITH Hairworks on that resolution?

Hairworks is off. But when it's on, the performance hit is anywhere between 10-20ish fps depending on the scene.

And about AA. I managed to enable FXAA through drivers and combined with the game's sharpening effect, the image quality is quite good and performance didn't take any noticeable hit. I'm happy.

I think I might actually continue playing the game like this.

Hm. This news is good in one way, bad in another. I want to play with Hairworks ._.
But I am not sure if a single overclocked Titan X will be much more powerfull than 2x 970.

But at least it seems to be very good playable on 21:9 1440p screens

CDPR's proprietary hair physics still look really nice though. So it's not like they're butt ugly in comparison.

Holy crap. I just started playing the game moment ago (at roughly 1PM) and now it's 9 PM.

Game bug that infects the real world. Check out the window when you wake up tomorrow morning, you'll also see that the sun is rising in the West.

You should at least let them unpack it and get a couple of weeks playing it on your behalf. They could send you daily status updates.

CD Projekt RED appears to be in the midst of a nightmare storm of glitches, both here on the site, and surrounding the game.

What kind of game glitches? And yes the forums are not working properly. GOG downloads are also slow...

24 pages of threads, regarding bugs, glitches, graphic errors, control problems, complaints, and so on, over in the Tech Support sub-forum. That's not including my problem, which I'd really rather not go into at length, but it'll prevent me from getting the DLCs and patches, unless it's fixed.

I played 7 hours now and had not one bug. Some CTDs but that was because of the latest Nvidia driver. I think that Hairworks looks especially nice when you'd already grown a beard and it slightly moves in the wing. Looks absolutely amazing. The atmosphere in the conversation with Emhry was also great.

Lol they're not even interested. I expect they'll show me the box on skype but I'd like to unpack it myself when I get home.

It does indeed. But nothing compared to Hairworks. If I want to use ONE thing of graphics over all others, it is Hairworks. It looks so fucking amazing,

Hope the dreams weren't so bad? Did you einjoy playing it or have you seen any kind of downgrade?
Sounds like you really want to play though.
