Indeed. I'll be storing some stuff at my parents' but they won't get any of my bottles! Well, maybe some bourbon.

Germans: what's the place to go to for decently priced liquor? Scotch whiskey, Brandy, Vodka, etc. I've heard much about those ubiquitous discount stores like Aldi and Netto, but do they have at least Johnny Walker Black or Double Black?

@volsung Nothing to say about alcohol, but will you be dropping by in Klein Mahakam more frequently, when you arrive? Feel free to ask us questions about our weird habits or confusing phrases or just for a general chat in German.

Been a long time (40 years) since I lived in Germany; distilled spirits of any kind were hard to find and poor quality, on the other hand the beer and wine were first-rate. Spirits may get better distibution now.

The movie had its definite weak points, in terms of plot, but the concept behind the character of the Shadow is rather fascinating. In a way, he reminds me of the Witcher (also, Alec Baldwin and Doug Cockle have very similar voices). It remains one of my favourite films, but for thematic and cinematographic qualities, rather than story.

This movie helped redefine the superhero movie bringing it closer to the Dark Knight era . It was a break from trying to do the more child friendly stuff and grab adults as well . Considering the tech then the special effects were amazing . I agree with you wholeheartedly .
