The movie had its definite weak points, in terms of plot, but the concept behind the character of the Shadow is rather fascinating. In a way, he reminds me of the Witcher (also, Alec Baldwin and Doug Cockle have very similar voices). It remains one of my favourite films, but for thematic and cinematographic qualities, rather than story.

The Shadow is also one of the great radio shows of all time, and the direct forerunner of Batman. His ability to "cloud men's minds" and go about invisibly distinguishes him from the unstealthy Geralt, to my thinking anyway.

The Shadow theme: Saint-Saëns, Omphale's Spinning Wheel

Indeed it was! And you're quite right, Geralt can be rather heavy-handed, and sometimes a little less than subtle. As far as the character of the Shadow in the film, though, there is a thematic similarity in that they share 'inner daemons', as it were, and have the choice to use their powers for the better. This is, admittedly, an archetype common to many 'modern' heroes.

About as far as me and shoes go.

Boots are easier to manage - And white? that's a lot of cleaning to do...

I wear normal trainers for bad weather but bring out my D Rose collection on nice days lol and I always keep cleaning wipes on me if I do accidently walk on mud or whatever.

Trust me I'm a sneaker head I manage my baes with 110% care :)

The whole 'collection' I think I have the other one of those canvas ones in my gym bag and my hiking boots are still packed in my travel bag I think:

Personally, I have two pairs of steel-toed boots -- one very battered pair for work, and another, more presentable set, for blundering around casually -- and that's the extent of my footwear stock.

All you need are boots! Apart from when you're sitting on a rowing machine or running a treadmill, ahaha!

Thankfully, I'm never on either. Fortunately, I've the luxury of living nearby to forested hills, over which I can freely wander.

Lucky! My home, home is a seaside town so I can run along the promenade, but I live in the middle of a city while at University here so there isn't a lot of places to run, or row.

Home, home (Cornwall) is really good for walking but there aren't so many trees because it's too near the ocean and I live about 3 minutes from the sea so I can go Kayaking when it's calm in the bay q:

I have a relatively large collection of shoes

Jordan Superfly 2
Jordan Melo M8
Jordan Spizikes
Adidas Lillard 1 Weber State

I've about an hour-and-a-half's drive to the sea, so I don't visit it quite so often.

So many shoes just for one sport! Ahah, I used to play football while at School and College and since year 9 I was using the same boots (admittedly my feet stopped growing super fast).

But 7 for a single sport is crazy, do you use them interchangeably or do you use only one or two of them?

My main choices for basketball are my Melo M8's and Lillard 1's so I use them say 3 out of 5 times but I do change it up sometimes. My Lebrons, Kobes and Jordan Spizikes I wear more casually though and the Kyrie 1 and Jordan Superfly 2 are a mix between sport and casual.
