Why not? I use a tablet and phone to read and post in here all the time. If you want to give RED points or see your profile, just use the "desktop" version of the website.

Simply because I couldn't. My phone isn't a modern smartphone, it's a cheap piece of rubbish I bought so I can still text - It's awful.

Oh I see. I forgot those existed, sorry! It's always good for your health to take a break from games and gaming forums anyway.

I had too, until I dropped my phone and could only afford this one ahah. Yeaaah, Although most of the time I was just sitting around and doing nothing.

Lucky bastard. After netflix blocked VPN I haven't been able to watch US netflix (and their awesome selection of anime) and Finnish netflix sucks ass. Cancelled my subscribtion..

Tried crunchyroll? Not into anime at all but I see it advertised everywhere.

Have you guys done anything eventful lately? tomorrow I move to a new house, for the first time in 12 years. I fully expect a world of difference.

That must be quite an experience :)

I moved 7 times during 10 years and it was quite painful. Now I have been living in this same address for five years and still, every time when I buy something new, my first thought is that am I willing to carry it with me to the next address :p

Wow! 12 years of life to move! I'm hope It won't be too long/tiring :p
Good luck

It is sometimes scary to see how much you can store at home in a few years

Welcome back! Is there nothing but fast food over there?

Not for the not filthy rich amongst us. Even so we often spent >10$ each for some take-out stuff - doing that for several weeks adds up to quite a lot. Food is just way more expensive than in Germany. Then again, we do have the lowest price level compared to our neighbors in Europe.

How much did you spend money overall during the trip? Would be interesting to know if I ever plan on going there.

That really depends on where in the US you go, and what kind of food you eat. In general I think it is similar, but restaurants might actually be a bit cheaper in Germany. Groceries might be cheaper in some US cities, including fresh fruit, meat and vegetables. Things like beer, wine and cheese are definitely cheaper in Germany. I can't think of anyone who eats fast food that often though.

Where were you exactly? Sounds like the East Coast. New York perhaps? Boston?

The place I live will need to be repainted next year, I think. I haven't decided yet whether to just move house. I usually do. (One of the benefits of renting)

Yeah.... generally in the U.S. everything is more expensive in cities than in rural areas. And LOT more expensive in major cities, like New York or Los Angeles. That advice doesn't really help tourists tho - no-one visits the U.S. to see rural towns :p

Quite some time since I last posted here, like, six months?

Anyway, I'm still alive though university is gnawing away aaall my free time, but for some reason they decided to give us two months to recover before studying to death (or the final exams).

So, how's it going around here? Everything's still in place? Enough beer for everyone?

Why not? Some of the best reasons to visit the US are natural sights, and maybe a good road trip. I've had a few memorable meals in inexpensive, small restaurants.
