Don't forget the trunks yo.

Unless you're doing some midnight swimming sessions or something. Then by all means go without :)

I hate myself for not exercising for 3 years. A total embarrassment. I swam somewhere around 1500 to 2000 metres. I had to stop every 50 metres. I used to swim more. A lot more.

I decided yesterday that I'd use my elliptical trainer every day if it was in the bedroom, where the aircon's better. I put my back out moving it between rooms. Exercise is bad for you.

Quoting for truth.

Edit: And now that I have speedos on the mind, it came up with a curious question. Are women more hydro-dynamic with or without a bottom, or the same? One pieces obviously withstanding.

Two-pieces aren't much good in competitive swimming, so much of the research done in swimsuit hydrodynamics doesn't contribute directly. But most results indicate that compression and streamlining are key, especially (sorry!) for women, who have jiggle that men don't have to deal with. Tight-fitting full-bottom styles should work best.

On the men's side, some results have it that Speedos are not helpful, other than avoiding indecent-exposure charges. (Men who shouldn't be wearing Speedos in the first place would do well, like the women, to wear longer well-fit styles.)

@Glaroug: I don't want to live in that world.

@Guy N'wah: Yeah, well. Look I was just hoping to host the first International bottomless swimming tournament.

No one should swear a speedo. Ever.

@StaGiors, you know that it's good you started again, right? The body remembers, you 'll do better the next time, and soon you 'll be able to do even better than before. I know it feels bad when you can't do something you 're good at.
Keep going. :)

I started writting again, by the way, after months that i had not finished a sen

My Mum and I are off to Belfast for the day. Since my brother's family are currently on holiday in Austria, we have a free day with no babysitting!
:victory:

We're currently on the bus leaving Dungannon. It also looks like it's going to be a clear day! :)

Guy N'wah once again with the truth. The reason why swimmers wear longer suits that are tight is because it allows them to be faster in the pool. That is because of hydrodynamics, as Guy explained, but especially for men, it is because it covers body parts, like the upper leg, that are quite hairy. The "skin" of the suit allows them to glide in the water even more than their own (even shaved) skin. However most swimmers do not shave. At least not before a race.

However most swimmers, both male and female, use such swimsuits in races or tournaments. Since the "racing" suits are quite expensive. In training almost every male wears a speedo, and most females were a normal sports onepiece swimsuit.

What I noticed yesterday though, is that many females in this city, choose to wear 2 piece suits. This is probably because the pool I went to is mostly for amateurs, and there are no athletic teams there. I didn't complain one bit. :p

I just got back from Belfast and I'm just going to go and get myself a couple of ham sandwiches. I got myself a new jumper but that was it: The prices for Arkham Unhinged and Fables were ridiculous! I mean £26 for a graphic novel that's been in print for 5 years? That's plain daft! Despite that though, it was good to get out and have a walk around a place I don't normally go to. So, a good day! :)

Speaking of ham, my wife made this oven roasted turkey breast which we cut into lunch meat slices. Fucking good!

We got used to making our own things because of her gluten sensitivity, but home made is so much better!

Right, today was much better. Took it a bit easier, did not overpush myself at any point. Result was no cramps whatsoever, more distance swum and high morale. All is good in the world. :p

I mean, apart from the Speedo.

Yep. You can get them all for around £15 each on Amazon. Forbidden Planet doesn't half know how to charge!
