What do you want in a Collector's Edition?

I'd want a short novel that shows what happened between 2020 and 2077 similar to what CDProjekt did with The Witcher 1 short story. If possible have Mike Pondsmith onboard too naturally.

Great idea, but instead of the story (I guess the original 2020 is not believable nowdays so we should have new story from present time - ie there mars mission was launched in 2009 but the cigarrets packet size mobile phone was really expensive shit in 2020) just a chronology. And maybe comic book in 2077 + some short novel (ideally written by William Gibson but I guess this is too much to ask) that the major character in the game are present.

But I guess the best thing would be refreshed 2077 roleplaying system - this could be amazing. Or even card game or board game.

A map of Night City would be nice. So would a short story, maybe a disc of game related info that we could "hack" and decode. A statuette of Alt would be great, too.

A lot of CEs get some garbage addons that are pretty standard. Making of DVDs come to mind as the standard throwaway.

This is Cyberpunk. The granddaddy of all the punk genres. We need something truly special.

A good start is a deluxe edition of the pen and paper 2077. That gives us a great deal more creativity to work with, especially if there's going to be a modding community to make new addons.

The resin figure is also another generic addon. Instead of that, give us something that's more than just a greyscale plastic mold. Give us a moveable person who has mods and augments and implants, and make this person truly moveable. I'm not just talking arms and heads. I mean implants that pop out and extend and unfold and show us the true glory of going under the knife for an upgrade. Think high quality transformers.

Cloth maps are always good, but they're rarely high quality. If you give us a cloth map, let's make it high quality.

Another good option is the box itself. Instead of the standard box, or even the special paintjob or slight shaping, give us the box that's a large bust but opens where mods are and contains the game and numerous other goodies. Make it at least high quality plastic with metal hinges, if not going all old-school transformer to make the whole thing metal.

A soundtrack is always a good idea, though if one is included, instead of a CD, I'd hope they'd go with a flash drive that contains the soundtrack.

A STEAM KEY! GIVE US A STEAM KEY! Make it easy for us to play the game however we want! In fact, if you want to ENSURE the fans love you, put a Steam key in EVERY edition, including console editions. I know I'd be happy to pay a slight premium for a console game if it also meant I didn't have to re-purchase it for PC.

If you're going to go with DLC, give us some things for free that will never be available as part of DLC. They shouldn't be special game changers or new story. They should be flavor items or early unlock of certain items. Maybe this is the only way to get the Mr. Stud Deluxe.

I'd love a MAX TAC patch I could sew onto a jacket.

A balaklava sewn and colored to mimic the MAX TAC headsets.

While it may seem a little odd for an RPG, a custom made set of headphones would be boss. Something specifically designed in the Cyberpunk style.

If I got everything listed above and more, I'd be happy to plunk down $200 for a really good collector's edition.

- A DLC with CyberPunk version of Geralt (and Triss?) as a playable character only for Collectors / pre-orders
- some classic CP T-Shirt - few styles too choose.
- a sound track, art book, making-of (just please, let it be something diffrent than all the trailers and dev-diarys on a dvd... )
- I'm a sticker maniac and I love the CP logo, so CP stickers glowing in the darkness.

I think there will be more ideas, when some more details about the game will be released, so till then

Of course there can be more then one package for the CE. But here's the list of things i might want to see in the package( no figures as they only use shelf space and collect dust!)

1. Artbook!!! Hell yeah all the futuristic concepts of the characters, vehicles, toys and buidlings A MUST HAVE!

2. If the audio side of the game is gonna be as good as in the teaser and the short announcment of the title and I believe it is going to kick ass then SOUNDTRACK!

3. Some stickers of the corporations, fractions or max tec badge for instance it always good to have some nice looking logo on your art case or briefcase orlaptop or anything else, so STICKERS!

4. Mike's pen & paper Cyberpunk 2077 system is going to be developed simultaneously with the game so CYBER PUNK 2077 PEN & PAPER RPG HANDBOOK

Pretty much exactly this... some really kick ass dice and maybe a groovy thumb drive wouldn't hurt either...

Nice steel (or other fancy) case, soundtrack in proper CD case, decently sized high quality art book, maybe a nice poster or two. Something I don't like is big statues or busts, so it would be cool to have edition with, and one without (for a lower price) if they must include it, like Bioshock Infinite has. Other than that, I'd like to be surprised!

I agree with you on everything but the statue, OP. I’d much rather have something like the Witcher’s medallion than some boring statue that is nothing but pretty to look at. How about the unofficial shoulder patch that this spec-ops team wears? You know, so you can stitch it on your own jacket :>

Personally I'd like an art book with illustrations and what not. I enjoy reading / surfing through the pages about a specific company's development cycle and various artworks that have been created for their game.

I'm certain Cyberpunk 2077 could have some intriguing ones.

Nothing very fancy, just artbooks, soundtrack, a DVD of how they made the game, also, the game, and a thing like "Rockstar Pass" to access all the DLCs of the game for free, and of course, an old Cyberpunk 2020 rpg game, perhaps?
