What do you want to see in The Witcher 3? (Possible Spoilers)

I just finished my 3rd playthrough of TW2 and I got to thinking about what I would like to see in the next installment. The first thing that came to mind was that I wanted the decisions you made in TW2 to have more of an impact on the next game, mainly having to do with who you kill and don't kill. There are just so many decisions you make and they can have a drastic impact on the world depending on what you do. So I'd love if CDPR made the decisions more meaningful than they did when they went from TW1 to TW2.

What do you guys want to see in TW3?

Everyone: THE QUESTION IS A TRAP.

Chuck Norris doesn't ask for your opinions. Chuck Norris only tells you what your opinions are.

I don't know why everyone is so hung up on this import mechanic. It barely affects your playthrough and restricts devs from making any extreme choices for the fear of not being able to deliver a consequence.

What i want is basically everything from TW2, but more. More alchemy, more weapons, more armour, more locations, more characters, more choices etc. And i also believe it is absolutely essential to wrap up the Yennefer and Ciri plot. I REALLY want CDPR to go all out with this presumably last Witcher game.

Of course, the game could have been longer ^___^. As a witcher fan, I think that the engine should be optimized as well (my pc is quite good, but I still had lags when turned on cute grafic featres) but these are minor issues.
1. What I was really quite disappointed with in TW2 was a mutagene system - it was really odd not to be able to reassign the mutagenes after you use them and the effects were not that great. Think what you want, but the "unique mutageneous potion" which were made from the boss monsters concept from TW1 wa much better imho.
2. MORE BIG BOSSES. That says it ^___^.
3. As for the plot - in TW1 we heard the profecy of Ithline every 5 minuets, yet in TW2 there is no development of that. I think Geralt absolutely must face the Wild hunt in it's true form and ofcourse find Yennifer, if she is still alive(and Ciri, perhaps).
4. Finally I think it's time for an all-out war with the Nilfgaard - just imagine what it is to try to make our way through a Kingdom-scale conflict!
5. What is more, the potion system could be improved it was very odd not to be able to drink one in a fight! I am redy to accept that for balance issues Geralt can drink only 3 at a time, but please, let me do it when I want!
6 "More alchemy, more weapons, more armour, more locations, more characters, more choices etc." - amen to that.
7. More "fluid" use of bombs and such things as through knives, had some problems with that.

The reason everyone, including myself, gets hung up on this is because The Witcher world is a world about actions and consequences. CDPR has made that very clear from day 1. But if your actions don't carry over from game to game, then what does it matter? All you have is 3 games that feel separate from each other when they could and should feel very much as 1 story.

This could be accomplished by bringing back some of the stuff people thought was trivial from TW1, like more side quests and monster contracts.

IMO the number of side quests was pretty low for me, so I want more quests!

Better controls, inventory designed for PC, more personal story, I am a witcher, not a savier of the world... Better soundtrack, give us back violin! I hated W2 soundtrack, it seems Scoruppa didn't enjoyed making music for the sequel... And please CD Projekt, don't make game easier.

Longer game, more side quests, more puzzles, a chance to find a rare diagram to craft a unique and powerful item or ways to find an item set that gives a bonus, more magical items that give beneficial combat effects and chances to maybe even extort the rotten people in the game for something.

I agree with the mutagen system. I was really excited to see how you could actually mutate further, but it was a bit anti-climactic. The adrenaline production ones were great.

I want MORE SORCERESS ACTION! You hardly get to see them use magic on anyone. I want an adversary that you would have to have magic resistant items to beat.

Also, the group styles in TW1 were amazing. Those should come back somehow too maybe by swinging while holding a button or something.

Thank you, that is all.

More side quests of course to increase the game lenght.
But please, don't do "Bethesdas" and make them meaningless to the main quests.
I want to feel that awesome W1 feeling when i first played it through and noticed that side quest also have consequences.

+more areas and characters from the books and MORE MONSTERS :p

On the other hand if increasing the length affects the quality negatively, don't.

We'll see in time how the witcher 3 will be...And we already know that Witcher 3 will be an awsome RPG like other games made by CD PROJECT ....;)

This is what imo should have been implemented with the dark items , like in TW1 and Raven`s Armor where you find a piece here and another there and only when you have found them all could it be crafted and not just mostly bought like in TW 2 .

I'd gladly buy a new computer if the graphics were THAT good. Which they might be, with the game coming out in 2014. Who knows what kind of crazy technology will be out then. I'm excited.

Basically what you wrote.

I want a better ending in Witcher 3. I want to know how my decisions affected the lands.

It is so easy to do. Even epilogues like in Fallout New Vegas and Dragon Age: Origins are enough.

Make it longer, less cutscenes, the focus should be more about atmosphere & less about action & setpieces, (a lot) more monster variety, better combat system (make Geralt move like in the books), more responsive controls & better UI.

That's about it.
