I'd like the camera to stay the exactly the same. I loved how the camera worked in TW2, while out of combat, it was tight and close to the body. When in combat, it retracted a bit, giving you a much better view of your surroundings. Top notch shit, I really hope they keep it this way. Nothing wrong with it at all.

You must be using a big T.V or you are using under 1920x1080p. Some Zoom out Options would not Hurt.

Same.

But of course, it only makes sense for anyone not using a bigger screen or higher res to have options for optimal game play as well.

The camera will stay the same for you, but if there will be option to change fov and some other camera related stuff, more people will enjoy the game. You dont have to use it if you dont want to.
But to say "I really hope they keep it this way. Nothing wrong with it at all." is just arrogant and disrespectfull to others. If you like it, does not mean anybody likes it.

Is there really no way to change it? Because at is is now, I've got a choice between headaches and nausea, or playing it letterboxed, and neither option is what I'd call ideal.

Hey guys, be sure to check out my FOV/POV thread about Witcher 3 and vote. We really want CDProjeckRed to notice the current issues.

The camera in TW was very annoying, I wouldn't want to be stuck with that kind. If there's an option keep the TW2-like camera, I would certainly use that.

Motion sickness because of narrow/consolized FOV is a VERY common and VERY known issue in the PC gaming community. Their is no reason not to have an adjustable FOV in any PC game. Metro:LL did not come with one; the consumers asked for one, the devs said "too hard will mess up cutscenes", consumers said "don't be silly just do it the game is making us sick", the devs patched the game and it now has a FOV slider. Didn't take years, just a few days.

So why does this game not have it yet? If I had known that this game did not have it I would not even paid the $7 I did for it. I sure as hell will not buy W3 if it does not have it, at any cost.

Sorry for necroing. I bought this game recently and i'm quite dissapointed so far. First the horrible mouse acc in the menus. And then the camera being way too close to Gerald's back. It so easy to change fov/camera distance, why can't it be changed? It would make the game so much more enjoyable for me.

Is there a working mod yet that can change fov/camera distance? I found one but it seems very bugged, haven't tried it so far. Still, such a basic feature should be in the game (1,5 years) after release.

First and third person view via the mouse wheel and for FOV nothing less than 85. At the very least have an ini setting that I can change. Enough of this 60 degree FOV console bullshit already.

75-90 is a good fov range. anything less is nauseating, and anything more and things end up looking tiny.
