What game are you currently playing

I bought the game today. It's fun, but most of the systems seem really complex. I still haven't figured out how to properly level up. The level up screen gives me a circle with a bunch of selections around it, and not much explanation as to what any of them do. So far, I've just clicked on things until the game permits me to level up. After I figure out the systems, I'll start over with a proper character. The game is very pretty.
Yeah, it took a bit of time to figure out how to build my characters (at least where I want they go^^). At first, I picked up what is suggested (green thumb up), but at the end, I think it's better to check a bit and make your own build. Not sure you reached this point yet, but you can respec anyway, so it's easy to try something and change if you're not please with the build.
My only real complain is about formulas of some talents/perks, some are easy, but other are so damn complicated that I don't even try to find the result. Everything else, just need to be used to and learn a bit :)

Like this one which is a rather "easy" one... Yes, you can find the result by checking your character stats, then make the calcul, but...
"Reduce the enemy dodging, blocking and armor by - (10 + exploit stacks x PERception bonus)%"

Lol ! Yes, I finally got it. I was making things too hard. The level up choices progress in sequence around the circle. I kept thinking that I could choose anything on the circle.

Edit: now that I'm starting to understand the systems, this game is starting to shine. Each class is deep and well designed, and the combat interactions between them are outstanding.

Tried bit of Palworld today to see what all the fuzz is about. The game is super addicting!

Looks like I'm gonna be playing that a lot in near future.

Bit of Palworld and a bit of Enshrouded.

Both are terrific in their own ways, two very solid survival games. A good start to 2024.
Too much games to try... with persona 3 reload in few days :D
I'm still in Rogue Trader, so I have no time to play other games for now (I dream of a "Rogue Trader" with BG3 graphics/cinematic/dialogues/voice acting... It's would be incredible).

This is the other game that I definitely want to try at some point. Someone marketed it as "Valheimy" in style, so that is always a + for me. Also watched a bit of stream where it was played and it looked nice.

It shares plenty with Valheim, that's certain.

But it also has points/features in common with Rust and Minecraft. Throw in some decent combat mechanics, blend it well together and you have Enshrouded. It's solid. A lot of people refer to it's combat as "Souls-like" but it's really not. It's closer to Conan Exiles' than to any Souls game.

But, like Palworld, it's in EA and has it's fair share of minor issues and inconvenience that will likely be changed/improved over the coming months/years.

After 150 hours, I'm finally near the end in Palworld. Few big bosses left.

I have to say that the game has done many things right. Many things that would be great to see in Valheim too.
1. When you craft something at your base, the stuff gets automatically taken from the nearby chests and you don't have to have everything in your actual inventory.
2. Once you level up, enemies below your level start running away from you. Instead of being huge (harmless, but still annoying) pain in the ass like those greydwarves in Valheim. Makes exploration and gathering more enjoyable.
3. Mounts. You can ride and/or fly. Once again, makes exploration so much fun. Those mounts are also your best weapons in the game. It's up to you, if you want to keep them under your control or let them do the fighting for you.
4. Base management. You can either craft everything yourself, or get help from your pals. No need to spend ages in farming, cooking and crafting, unless you want to.

Not sure if I would like to have this kind of breeding mechanism in Valheim and I never cared about it in Ark, but in Palworld it has been fun to have. It's simple enough, but still requires some work and effort for getting the stuff you want.

Of course the game is full of minor glitches and hiccups, but nothing game breaking. It has definitely been worth of 26 euros or whatever it was that it costed. So_much_fun! We had some kind of problem with the raids being way too hard and we had to turn them off completely, so I can't say much about it. But if the raid system would have worked correctly (or if it would be more balanced?), it sounded fun too. At least based on the stuff you can unlock while leveling up.

Oh seem cool! I didn't really play it yet, I'll start today :D
As long as it have a purpose, breeding is always nice. In Valheim, outside of producing food, breeding not really "useful". But in ARK, if you plan to beat ALPHA bosses, you definitely need to dive a bit in breeding.

I'd to give a shot to Enshrouded, it seem nice too, but sadly only available on Windows :(
