What game are you currently playing

I've had five or six playthroughs.
Now just doing CP2077 racing.

I'm preparing new mod. If all goes well, it should put the original game's racing experience to shame. My aim is to have milliseconds time measurement, the five lights, laps, and some texts like 'the finish line in 500 meters'. Maybe I will be able to add racing lines for novices. Maybe.

Is one of the Nexus car performance mods yours, or is this going to be a new one? The way cars are tuned by default in the game, I'm inclined to believe that the devs have never actually driven before. A couple of mods make it much better, but I'm always looking for something better.

Thanks for the question.

I think by now I'm utilizing the most car configuration from what is out there. I definitely use more of what the game offers than Cyber Vehicle Overhaul.

Challengeably, I have the fastest race track car, like for the Roadring, and in theory can build the fastest car for any road condition.

None of it is a mod yet, but I have it on the roadmap to build in an option to "drive Mad Marti's Caliburn". Happy to post the current amorph lua code in the racing thread if that's useful meanwhile.

Is there a way to mod in a delay in the steering? By that I mean so when a PC keyboard button is pushed the wheels do not IMMEDIATELY go ALL THE WAY left or right but rather get there is 2 seconds (like it would in RL) or so? So far no one has made a mod like that so I a worried it cannot be done.

Yes, there is a value in vehicles files (REDMOD).
search for "wheelTurnMaxAddPerSecond" and "wheelTurnMaxSubPerSecond" in the file of the vehicle you want to tweak.
the path is: tweak/base/gameplay/static_data/database/vehicles/cars
You'll have to check every vehicles you want to modify. Even if you modify a parent, values might not be the same in children.

But there is some other params to adjust too, wheels don't turn the same depending of the current speed of the vehicle.

And there is also a feature (don't remember the name), but you can enable or disable it, it takes into account the spamming of inputs, that means if you are spamming, it will not "reset" but add value to the last input (more or less, it's been a long time since I modded this lol).

You can try out if wheelTurnMaxAddPerSecond and wheelTurnMaxSubPerSecond are for you. You get to set them per vehicle in its lua code, if you install the Cyber Vehicle Overhaul mod.

Also, maybe your problem is how input is calibrated. Explore the game's options. For me steering is good with keyboard without changes.

Against my own judgement, I bought the early access to Dune Awakening. I'm really enjoying it. Keep in mind that my expectations were low, so I'm not sure what the perspective is of people who went into it expecting greatness. But for me, compared to other new "massive" multiplayer games that I played when they were first released (SWTOR, ESO, Guild Wars 2), it's very solid.

Some things I was hesitant about that haven't yet been a problem:
  • A desert full of gankers with names over their heads like "SweetJohnsonXXX99". That's not happening. Player names aren't displayed at all unless they're in your group, which is awesome for immersion. The PVE area is huge. Enormous. If people want top tier end game gear, then they'll have to enter the deep desert PVP area. But for role playing in the Dune world, the PVE area is fine.
  • I put "massive" in quotes, because the way the servers are designed, you don't actually see a lot of other players. In that regard, MMO purists are going to hate the game. But as a survival game, I like it.
  • It's reasonably functional with a gamepad. Again, MMO purists are going to hate that, but I like it. Each class has several abilities, but only a few can be mapped at any time regardless of input device. Even switching weapons is easy with a controller, because a radial menu has all of the equipped abilities and equipment.
  • The worms are awesome. They are the apex everything in the game.
All that being said, I suspect that tomorrow (first official live day) will be a disaster.

Same here. What a surprisingly well-done game. I bought it on release, and was really expecting it to be quite janky and unpolished. Exactly the opposite. Things feel pretty good! The opening area is as far as I've gotten, but it's engaging. Areas are big. Combat is fun enough (I like the hand-to-hand quite a bit!) They really nail the surrealistic Dune feel, as well. I was very impressed with the cutscenes and overall story presentation.

The sandstorms have to be the coolest visual I've seen in a while. Watching them roll in from miles away is really awesome.

Just started The Alters, it got good reviews and it's on Game Pass, so well... I'll try to survive I guess :giggle:

Defiance servers were recently revived by Fawkes. And I am feeding off my own nostalgia. Still not sure if it works. It's a weird one.

Though, I do enjoy cute, but insanely dark:
Little Goody Two Shoes and Pocket Mirror - both connected I won't say how, but Little Two Shoes should be played First for the big reveal.

Stellar Blade. Played the demo and was instantly hooked.
I wasn't expecting anything from this one, but it's a really good game. Souls x Nier x Tomb Raider and even some Resident Evil during a quest.
The lore seems good and intriguing so far (12 hours in), even if it's clearly inspired by Nier automata.

Yeah, thought so too. The battles are entertaining. You really need to use your head. And have good timing. can't just barge in there unless you have a death wish. Interesting to see where it'll lead.

Playing a new playthrough of 2077 to experience the phantom liberty expansion and i'm trying to get all of the iconic weapons to fill up the weapon wall.

Also playing quite a bit of The First Descendant.

Did you get to experience the build up to the Coriolis storm today? It was fantastic bit of immersion.

Yeah, I was a bit confused at first. Thought the game was bugged and caught in a never-ending sandstorm. Figured it out eventually when we got the warning about the Deep Desert about to reset. Cool mechanic. Very bad visibility.

Been years since I last made a post here! Will say FFXIV is on a long hiatus atm.
  • Yakuza Kiwami 2
  • Mahjong Soul
  • Cyberpunk 2077 (a little)
  • Borderlands 3
  • Marvel Rivals
