Right now, I'm playing Red dead 2 online since its Octobor and the Halloween event(s) is coming. There are rumors that there will be zombies this time in this game via datamining but that is only rumors. Poker is my fav game.

I could swear those same rumors were floating around last year yet nothing ever came about it, unfortunately. I wish Rockstar would just give the people what they want, which is an actual sequel to Undead Nightmare...unfortunately, they'll never do that so we keep hoping they'll at least throw us a bone and do an event.

Star Wars Squadrons.

I got my A-Wing. I got my HOTAS. I got a pretty decent SP campaign, some awesome co-op, and some equally awesome MP. I got the ability to manage power settings to overcharge my shields then switch them double-front, over-charge my blasters, and can boost-drift 180° to deal with pursuers.

Bye, world.
I read something that honestly shocked me. EA says that they have no plans for paid DLC for the game. They might do something at some point, but aren't treating it as a live service game. Has EA turned a new leaf, and decided to become a decent company?

So far...!

No microtransactions of any sort in the game. We're already hearing updates about "Operation 2", which is the next "Season", I guess.

There are definitely some corners cut in the customization department, but that's hardly anything of consequence, and pretty much every cosmetic is completely invisible during gameplay anyway.

But the gameplay -- the actual flight model and weapon systems -- is excellent. There are some bugs and balance issues, definitely, but only one thing that I'd argue is wildly unbalanced. At present, the biggest issue with the game is hackers. Already encountered a small pile of people one-shotting enemies with full-overcharge shields, not taking damage, using infinite ammo hacks for missles / mines, instantly changing directions, etc. As long as they can get a crew in place to ensure fair play, the experience will be absolutely top notch.

Aside from that, the core gameplay is utterly fantastic.

Recently, I started playing Vampyr. Its free on ps4 for right now.

All I remember from last year halloween were the free masks. Thankfully, the Specialists roles and Land of Opportunities provide some good content and story.

I'm personally going to wait patiently and see what their next 10 games look like to see if this is the case.

Modding skyrim and a lot of indie games on itch.io... There are still a lot of mods being uploaded for skyrim even today surprisingly.

I just gave up on the Baldur's Gate 3 early access.

I fully understand sometimes you have bad luck streaks with random number generators. But one would think replaying the same battle 3-10 times would generate average results.

NOT!

Character hit rates are less then half the AIs additionally the AI generally hits twice as hard (might be that AI armor ratings and hit bonuses are set to high). Even at max level for the early access, 4th, my characters were still 2-hit-wonders, if not 1-hit.

Also the game feels FAR more like Divinity: Original Sin then D&D. Environmental effects everywhere that do FAR more damage then weapons.

Lastly the AI's ranged attacks (and virtually everything in the game has one) have at least 50-100% more range then those of the characters so the AI just stays out of your range and kills you.

GREAT game story wise.
HORRIBLE game mechanics wise.

well yes it is based on D&D *cheeses it*

Mostly the shit starting stats and poor gear make it really not any fun, plus the fights rapidly scale in to grossly over matched really quickly.

Who knows in a year though? might be worth while.

This game still needs A LOT of work. Better explanation and description for spells and skills. Better quick-use slots management. Inventory system is stupid and unnecessary complex. Combat balance is atrocious. Dialogue system needs to be reworked, so I can use other characters, with better stats for skill checks. I hate having icons for some actions (jumping, pushing) and still additional options on right-click context menus. This is only 2-3 hours of playing.

And personally, I really don't like luck based aspect of this game (dice rolling) - I know that's against a whole D&D concept, but I still don't like it.

Overall, I would return it and wait for final release, but I don't want to misuse GOG refund policy. I will probably still play it, but only for the story.

I'm mainly playing guild wars 2 (great mmo, not pw2, there is no rush for new best gear or any lvls and other bullshit like all other asian mmos, and mounts have cool mechanics very uniqe) other games are rdr2 story. I only played online since PC premiere because I spoiled myself the ending after console launch:/ so now I decided to experience it for myself. I have this itch for good story game so I hope it will do to CP2077 premiere :D

I keep coming back to the timeless TrackMania Nations and LOTR:BFME2. When I feel like playing an FPS I go to RS2 Vietnam. Here and there I'll pick up something new to try but usually not for too long - right now that's Among Us of course.

I didn't play it but I will take your word for it!
Totally TOTALLY feel for you right there friend. Cheating AI + RNG that's not actually random? Lol it's random but you magically always get a bad dice roll. So many games I have played that I have gladly forgotten, gladly sent away to fade into obscurity just to free myself from the unfairness. I completely feel that, been there so many times.

The economy system sucks in this game too. I was trying to buy new gears but the price is double the value of the item and the item I'm selling tends to be lower than its value.

I would say this is not necessary for me but I have played XCOM and know a good amount D&D so I think I'm doing pretty good so far. I'm almost done with the main story in EA:). I'm a rpg fan but not a turn-based combat or D&D player. Games should be fun and not feel like its punishing its players. There are a lot of games that seem to feel like that way. In this stage of life I'm looking more towards where I can have fun in a game and not be overly complicated that it rather stresses me out.

Their PC ports are more fleshed out than anything CDPR has done since TW1, frankly.
Doesn't CDPR build games on PC first, and then port to console after?
Honestly Ubisoft game ports can be very fleshed out, like to the max, but they're still working with a game made by Ubisoft to begin with.
I can respect that, but It's not my thing I suppose.
