There's also the "Neutral" option in TW1, by the way.

TW1:
In my first playthrough I want to stay neutral but I didn't know how.
More than once NPCs tells you gonna need to pick a side and miss a quest never cross my mind. I did think that If there was a path to neutrality was in the bank quest. After couple of reloads (trying very carefully to not miss any quest) I take side with Silfgried. I guess it was 'cos I have more contact with humans than elves through the game.

TW2:
When TW2 came out I already had read the novels. I got from novels a lot of preconceptions about each faction. May be I shouldn't carry that ideas from the books to the games, but I did it.
I side with Roche 'cos I didn't like scoia'tael at all.

NOTE:
The choices up there are my first playthrough choices. I try other choices when I replayed both games.

I've played and re-played all the possible options (or that I guess) so I don't know what to vote....

Me too. Missing options are: [x] Neutral (for TW1) and [x] all of them (for both games) ^^

OP, I added the 'neutral' option to TW1 if you don't mind :)

Most of us here played both paths, do you think 'all of them' option is necessary?

EDIT: My choices are Neutral, Shani, and Iorveth. Neutral because I really disliked both Yaevinn and Siegfried.

I went with Shani, Yaevinn, Iorveth. Yeah I'm consistent ^^

I've already gone into why I went with the paths I chose, so I'm not going to go over them again. I don't regret any choice I made. Except one at the start of TW2, where I lied to Foltest. I never lie in real life, so I don't lie in games either. I also got Knighted in TW1 where I swore not to lie. So yeah, I still feel bad about that :(

TW1 . Neutral. Triss , as some sort of personal canon. Prefer Yaevinn to Siegfried.

TW2. Roche initial because no other option, everything else neutral. Roche was more tolerable then Iorweth,Disliked both.

TW1
- Sided with the Order. While I sympathize with the Scoia'Tael and Yaevinn, I do not approve of their method or plan. That plus I figured the Sigfried would be more useful in combating Salamandra.

- Triss Merigold. I am going to say it bluntly. Giving a super mage child who is being hunted by Salamandra to a person who doesn't know anything about magic and can't protect herself let alone a child, is kind of dumb.

TW2
- Roche. Has useful contacts and my Geralt trusted him.

Triss! Triss! Go TRISS!

The name OP is Siegfried :p

My choices.

TW1:

Siegfried - I was quite impressed by his personal views and how he holds them. To him saving lives is more important then killing, such as in the graveyard quest where he will give you a good reward if you save the villagers instead of killing the elves. He has true honor, and for that I strongly respect him.

Shani - Despite the fact I think Alvin would be safer in Triss's hands I believe Triss would use Alvin for her own ends, just like she tries to use Geralt.

TW2:

Roche - My Geralt did not wish to side with kingslayers, like the Scoia'Tael have become, but rather clear his name, maybe find Triss and also find Letho for the information he has. My Geralt did not give a shit about Iorveth's cause or Saskia's cause.

I haven't played the first game,so I wish there was an option for those who are new to the series. My first playthorugh is the one I'll import into the 3rd game,so my vote went to Iorveth.I was just more interested into his cause and creating a land where all races are equal(Saskia's cause). The reasons I didn't side with Roche is that I didn't really care about Temeria and generally the northern kingdoms.

You should also include a pole about wether or not you killed Henselt and/or Letho.

I chose to help Yaevinn as i felt sorry for the Elves and Dwarfs because of the way the Order treated them and I didnt like what Siegfried wanted to do to the scoia'tael.
I chose Triss because I felt she would look after Alvin better and I prefered her more to Shani.
To be honest, I chose Iorveth on TW2 as I had previously played on the Scoia'tael side in TW1, so I kind of stayed with the trend.

I did neutral path in tw1, chosen tris but dumped her at the end, on first playthrough i chosen Vernon in tw2. I think what would Gearalt from the books do in such situation and then proceed. Also in chapter 3 i go for triss only to tell her i don't trust her and to interrogate her about lodge, spared Aryan dragon and Letho.

Neutral: My Geralt is not interested in these conflicts and avoids them as much as possible. Let the humans and elves exterminate each other, life hunting monsters is exiting enough with out having to deal with that crap. But I should point out that he is much more sympathetic to Siegfried, not the Order, but Siegfried in particular as he truly is a noble character.

Triss: Shani's nice, Triss is better.

Roche: It was the most neutral path. Had I gone with Iorveth I knew I would be dragged into all sorts of
Scoia'Tael nonsense. I would rather go save Triss, and leave Roche and Iorveth to their fate.

I've replayed the games and taken different paths, so I voted based upon which path seems like "how it really happened" in my mind :p

In TW1 I took the neutral path. I do really like and respect Siegfried but I had trouble committing myself to the Order in general after seeing what they were up to. So I took the neutral path but I made sure that Siegfried survived.

I also chose Shani because she's a much nicer person and I trusted her to try her best to help Alvin. She seemed genuinely concerned for Alvin and wasn't just trying to use him.

In TW2 I went with Roche's path. I originally intended for my Iorveth play-through to be official because it worked out better in terms of the fates of characters I like, but when I replayed the games again I feel like Roche's path seems more real. It's darker and somewhat neutral-ish with Geralt mainly doing Witcher's work instead of getting involved in politics, so after reading most of the books I feel like Roche's path fits better.
