What pets do you own, and what you wish to?

+

I have a Yorkshire - Jack Russell Terrier mutt named 'Nugget' and a black Cat called 'Dick' ~ Who happens to be part Unicorn <:

Uhm, whats that ontop of the cat?

When I was a small child, I remember asking my mother if I could own a dog. "No," she said. Later I asked if I could own a cat. "No," was still her answer. Later in life I found out the man who sired me (and provided for my mother and I) was allergic to virtually all types of animal fur and I was never going to own a pet. Nevertheless, we did get goldfish. Around five of them. The first two (mine and my sister's) killed the other three. Then her fish killed mine. Not long after that her fish got up and died to. Whether from over eating, or simply out of spite, I will never know. That taught me that goldfish are cold and heartless creatures, like a dragonscale frozen in snow. That was the last pet we ever owned.

That said, I may still get a pet at some point. I seem to do pretty well with other people's dogs and cats.

That was a heartstring-pulling tale of love, betrayal, murder, allergy and dreams...

A picture my husband just recently found of my cat Gypsy from last winter.... She sleeps a lot harder and with her tong sticking out in winter when it's cold. Especially when she can find warm shelter between my lap and the desk my keyboard sits on, wrapped in blankets.

Now I just wonder what our kids will be like. : D

Never thought about adopt a Reptile as a pet? They don't make noise, barely bother, you almost forget they're there. They understand respect as the earliest form of caress. Only bite if you insist on breaking the rules, but they are patient and listen to you for hours (at least, they convince you of it) and you get the feeling they are trying to understand you (although dogs also do this.)

Reptile is nice, ;) Well, it's up about species too... Not all Reptiles have such kind of nice behavior...

Yeah, @ReptilePZ is a nice guy. But I wouldn't want him as a pet.

In all seriousness, I would probably get a cat or a small household dog if I got a pet. Like I said, I tend to do pretty good with other people's dogs and cats. Just so long as it's not a big dog. As far as I'm concerned all dogs have attention-deficit-hyperactivity-disorder, and I don't want one tall enough to lick my face. That's just gross and impolite.

Have a piglet that thinks he's a dog from time to time. He likes food, eating, meals, oh and eating. Between eatings he likes to sleep too. He's 7.

Lool at her! They say she's ugly but she's got a bleeding heart too if nobody loves her.

And Uma loves play! :D

I have five cats, all rescues, living with me now. Four boys and one girl, and of course the girl rules the house with an iron paw.

I had a cat...Benjamin was his name, and he never meowed...Well, almost never - perhaps once a year...Weird creature.

One day he just disappeared. The end.
